How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Location on booking.com incorrect. You need to google the place to get the correct location.
At the heart of the city. You are literally in Downtown. Very good restaurants around. The "Party-Mile" is a 5-10min walks so its quite at night.

The location was super close to the centrum of the city and is located at the finest street where you can go shopping and eat food at the many restaurants. The rooms were brand new and super nice. All new! But the true stars are without a doubt the two owners and the staff of the hotel. You feel genuinely welcome at the hotel, and they are always ready to help in any situation with everything within their power – so a huge thank you to you!

Parking would be appreciated or detailed instructions on the best options for parking on the surrounding busy streets. The toilet is not separated from the shower so it got very wet but additional towels and a squidgy were not provided to dry the toilet and floor.
A lovely boutique hotel on the pedestrian street of the city. We were pleased to discover it is located at the quieter less touristy end of the street surrounded by trees. The room was modern, clean and comfortable.

The location was excellent, and the hotel itself was very nice and super clean. We had originally planned to stay just one night, but we enjoyed it so much that we decided to extend our stay for another night. The staff was very kind and even stored our luggage for us, which made our trip much easier.

The location was in the centre an was too easy to find it. Also the rooms were super clean with all the facilities. We were super happy with our accommodation .

No elevator — might be a bit inconvenient if you have heavy luggage.
Amazing location — right in the heart of Shkodër, just steps away from the main boulevard, cafes, and attractions. • Spotless rooms — very clean, modern, and well-maintained. • Comfortable beds — I had great sleep every night. • Friendly and helpful staff — they made check-in smooth and were always available for questions. • Strong Wi-Fi and good air conditioning — ideal for both work and relaxation. • Private parking available — a big plus in the city center.

The hotel is located in the main centre. The staff were very helpful and sweet. Despite there being a language barrier as we couldn't speak each others language, they were lovely. The place was very clean, happy with the amnesties provided. Couldn't recommend it enough. Best value for the price.

Friendly staff who are located within the Pizza place downstairs. Amazing restraunts right on the doorstep. Cold water machine on the landing. Very central location

Property immaculate Exceptionally tasteful functional modern design of rooms above a pizza parlour. Rooms smallish but so comfortable. So clean. So well designed. Super comfy bed and linens . Very grateful to check in early. Card allowed access to entry door and room. Aircon super effective on a very hot day. Wifi fast Central location just a few minutes walk to most places. Aside from castle. Very good value for money. Highly recommend

The hose in bathroom was broken, checked in was a problem.
The location, many good quality restaurants near the hotel, very suitable as we are only staying for 1 nights and the room good.

Buy earplugs as the main street can get noisy at night.
The room was clean, really good bathroom facilities and the bed was comfy. The host, Eno, was really helpful.

I had a wonderful experience at Downtown hotel! The hotel is modern, clean, and perfectly located in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore Shkoder’s attractions. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything I needed. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Shkoder ~ I would definitely stay here again!🌟

This hotel was such a great find. It’s super central, with tons of restaurants nearby. The host, Eno (hopefully correct spelling), was awesome, really friendly and made me feel so welcome right from the start after taking long bus ride. We had a nice chat, which made the stay feel extra personal. And had cool recommendations about Shkoder and Theth logistics. Don't be afraid to ask for local recommendations It’s also super convenient, being just a block from the main bus stop. The hotel itself has a modern vibe, and I was pretty impressed with the remote-controlled curtains—such a cool touch! They’ve got a terrace too, but I didn’t make it up there. I liked it so much that I ended up extending my stay by another night to include a day trip to Theth. Definitely worth it!

If coming by car difficult to follow satnav as hotel in a pedestrianised area and side roads very narrow and busy. My advice would be to find the Ramada hotel which is on the main drag and easily found. Drive down the side road and park at 24 hour parking behind the car wash. Hotel is a very short walk from here
Location excellent. Near centre of town. Room very modern with upmarket vibe. Owner went out of his way to guide us to parking near hotel. Staff downstairs always obliging and accommodating Really loved the accomadation
