Location is amazing, right on the lake. Room is also right on the lake with a nice terrace. There is a small sun bathing deck and swimming area but water was a freezing cold. Serving breakfast and dinner which was good. Area is very calm, village vibe with some animals. They also organized a boat trip to Shala river

The hotel is near by the lake and you can take a refreshing bath, swimming in summer days

Located beautifully isolated on the bank of the river. The owner was super friendly and helpful. It was a beatific scenery to spend the afternoon and a great overnight stop on the way to shala river

Me and my friend ended up extending our one night stay for two nights! We loved this guest house it’s in such a beautiful location! What really made our time at borealis special was the host who was always super sweet and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Perfect location next to the lake. The water is cold, but that is normal. We had a very nice dinner and breakfast. The road towards Komani and Borealis is a little bit bumpy. But can be done with a normal car. Ask them to organize a trip on the lake.

Maringlen, thank you so much for a magical stay. You were so kind and hard working. We can’t recommend this bucolic place enough. The breakfasts are so good - delicious Albanian pancakes, home reared honey, everything is natural and from the land. The family have put in so much effort to create this idyll. We rowed on the paddle boards, swam in the cold emerald lake (so refreshing), admired the mountains, climbed a waterfall, went to Shala river. For tranquility and beauty, there isn’t much better. I wish I had painted it.

Perfect private guesthouse, very quiet, very romantic. You have the whole lake to yourself. Definitely recommend the optional dinner. The owner is very nice, drove our car down for us, and helped us with trips.

Not enough toilet paper, but Maringlen was so kind to rush down with a new roll at 12 AM.

In the building where we slept, the ceiling is wooden, we heard every step and every word of the guests above us.

The view of the lake from the rooms was magnificent. Mario, the owner, was very helpful and kind.

The owner gave us a charming and excellent treat. And the views from the room is beautiful. Delicious local breakfast with homemade products.

The access to the villa is a path in poor conditions but anyway this is affordable.

This place was absolutely incredible! The view was breathtaking! We watched the sunset and has a few dips in the Lake Koman. The host was welcoming, attentive and very nice. Felt very relaxed and had a great nighg sleep. Thank you for our stay, it was insane, would definitely go again.

Access is a bit rough but that is not fault of the hosts … but even with our small car we were able to enter .

The location is absolutely perfect, right by the water. The room was clean and well-maintained and the food was delicious with a variety of local dishes. The host made us feel welcome and was so helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway and amazing host.

Mario and his family have the most beautiful property. They harvest everything that they serve in the meals. It is lovely!

It's a beautiful location and the property is just as beautiful. The host was super helpful and arranged our Shala River tour as well. We were well taken care of. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms are impeccably clean. It is worth the long road to get there.

Fantastic host, extremely friendly with great Service. Delicious food. Location is absolutely amazing, just on the border of the lake. I jumped to the water before breakfast. The whole Area is in the big garden, with Lots of fruit. Its peace and quiet there, no Loud music. The Room is equipped with simply everything. All the details are thought over. Everything you need, including fridge, kettle, tea etc. Fully recommend this place and these people.

Everything superb

The room was nice and very clean. The breakfast and dinner were delicious (dinner was charged extra);the vegetarian option though was a little bland and needed more effort. The meals were served just in front of the lake and it was magical. Our dog was welcomed with no extra charge and this is important for us. I would have stayed again.

The soundproof was poor.

The setting was amazing. We had dinner and breakfast right by the water. The view was breathtaking. The food was delicious.

The lighting in the room could be improved and some people may be a bit intimidated by the access to the B and B, but it was well worth it!

Awesome location! Very accommodating hosts! Mario arranged our boat trip and also transportation to ferry location. Definitely take advantage of eating dinner and breakfast at the guesthouse. It’s farm to table dining. Homemade cheese from their goats and cow, homemade bread, jams and honey from their bees and trees, home grown chickens and fish from the lake. Mountain tea from dried plants.
