How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We booked a “balcony room” for the duration of our stay but were put in a ground floor room for the first night then had to move. The ground floor rooms have windows / doors facing the pool area, so we had to keep the curtains shut for privacy, which blocked out all the sunlight. There was no apology for this and we found it a bit cheeky when the receptionist then asked us to get cash from an ATM (€7 transaction fee) on our last day to pay a €4.50 minibar tab in cash when they had a working card machine, given how easygoing we had been about being put in the wrong room. The breakfast was also poor- no toaster and milk for cereal was warm; we ate breakfast elsewhere for the duration of our trip. Coffee was not included with breakfast so we paid 400 LEK each morning for them to make us one. The outdoor area is shabby; the pool is made from waterproof fabric with a wooden decking constructed around it and the sun loungers need replacing. There is lots of visible rubble surrounding the decking.

After reading your review on booking.com, I think I need to clarify a few points with you. - You are right to complain about the room on the ground floor, but the staff changed your room without asking you. There are many customers who prefer the ground floor for the spacious veranda. To be fair, the initial reservation was for room 001 because there were no free rooms in the hotel, for this I am providing you with a photo. - I need to explain that within one structure there are 2 businesses, the hotel business which is equipped with a (POS) machine for paying by card, and the Bar - Coffee business which does not have a (POS) machine for payments but only operates with cash in hand, this is because banks in Albania do not offer POS machines for small businesses and which do not have much turnover. If you want I can show you both business licenses. - You say that the breakfast was weak! If you read 30 reviews this year alone I believe you will understand that this is not true, all the breakfast products were fresh, there is milk on the breakfast table and whoever asked for hot milk was served immediately. - In the summer season we generally do not offer toast, but whoever asked for it we served it. - You say there is no coffee, I'm sorry you are not telling the truth, on the breakfast table there is a filter coffee machine like in any other hotel. You have consumed Cappuccino and not coffee, please clarify this detail, and cappuccino in every hotel is extra, except in hotels or resorts where everything is included ( FB). - It is true that the pool is plastic and this does not create any concern for our customers, but it is within the parameters, and clean. Verified reviewEasy acces with lot of parking space. The rooms are very big and clean and they clean and change the towels every day. The place is run by a family and they are always available for help. Best part is the breakfast which is very good.

Verified reviewThe hotel is a family run hotel and it is really lovely. They go above and beyond to help you out and make your stay enjoyable. We arrived and the next day they had prepared a list for us of attractions in the area, best beaches to go to and restaurant recommendations etc. The breakfast was also delicious. Nothing against the hotel at all, very grateful they were actually open, but this is clearly a summer place, it’s a lot of beach clubs that were all closed, it’s actually my preferred way to see beach clubs, without the other beach goers, I’m not a partier, but just something to bear in mind, there’s nothing else to do here but have it as a base for the National park etc, fantastic value for money as said base!
