Together with a friend, we spent a night at this Albanian sheep farm. After a steep drive up into the mountains, which is surprisingly manageable thanks to the paved road, you arrive in a quiet mountain valley. The colourful light is stunning there, especially at sunset. All you hear is silence and the soft sound of bells as the sheep roam freely through the valley, guided by a shepherd. The people were incredibly kind. Upon arrival, we were offered a glass of raki. The accommodation is very basic but perfectly fine for a night. The dogs on the property are friendly and cosy company. There’s no internet reception in the valley, so you’re completely off the grid for a while. We thought it was a truly lovely experience we can definitely recommend.

Incredible stay in the middle of nowhere. We enjoyed it definitely at this place without 4g or WiFi, one of the best stays during our Albania trip. The dinner prepared by the owners (all sheep based) was great. The place is easy to reach, and the views are incredible. Only the last 400 meters are off-road.

Nothing! Tip: take a sleeping bag with you for a bit more comfort.

Fantastic location and very warm welcome from all the staff. They really made us feel at home, helped in our hiking plans and were really attentive and provided tasty food. Fatti especially was really kind and practiced his English with us. Even the big dogs were friendly. We had an absolutely amazing stay at Camping Cajupi and can recommend it highly to anyone who is up for a bit of an adventure off the beaten track.

    Nothing negative to say!

Such a unique stay surrounded by nature and animals! Very welcoming hospitality. We loved the fire place inside and doing a small hike as the sunset around the property.

Absolutely wonderful location! Great food, friendly host. Definitely ask him about dinner as well. The huts are spacious, the beds are comfy and warm. Perfect for both a group and couples. It's easy to reach by car, the asphalt stops only a few hundred metres short of the property. The property borders a little plateau nestled between the mountains. It's at a nice altitude and there are tons of cool amphibians in the puddles around it. If you want to explore the valley on the east, you should bring a 4x4, or go for a good hike. There are beautiful waterfalls and churches. The views are gorgeous. Definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area and looking for a quiet spot to get away and experience the mountains.

Absolutely a gorgeous place, in the middle of nature. Stunning place at a beautiful setting. Great views on the surrounding mountains and fields. Basic but for us as biologist absolutely recommended. Friendly staff and nice food.
