How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location! It was beautiful and only a 20-30 minute walk to the village and closer to the start of the Theth-Valbona hike! The rooms were nice, the beds comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were amazing too :)
The only thing is the shower makes the whole bathroom wet but we were expecting this having read the reviews in the past and it was manageable! Also the walls are very thin we could hear our neighbour snoring haha but it was no worries.

Verified review- very nice cottages, with comfortable beds, equipped with everything we needed, with private bathroom - the view of the mountains is wonderful - parking available in the courtyard of the accommodation - it was a pleasure to sit with a beer in the courtyard of the accommodation while the night fell
- the road from the entrance to Theth to the accommodation is very bad, unpaved, cobblestoned, be careful what type of car you come with - the prices at the restaurant are a bit high

Verified reviewThe room was nice and the breakfast delicious. There is also a spring to refill your water bottle which was very handy. There is also a restaurant where you can have dinner. The wifi reached our room.

Verified reviewWe stayed on a hut only for us, with double bed and private toilet. Hut was comfortable, clean and the views from the gesthouse very nice. They offer dinner at a reasonable price. The guy was very kind and paid attention to our needs. Breakfast was good.
Everything was good

Verified reviewClean, comfy, great spot just off the POB track before entering into Theth town. A great way to integrate the mountains and town at the end of the POB trail. It’s a 25 min walk from the main town. Amazing local food, the menu is reasonable price with a great meat and cheese selection.

Verified reviewLovely food and people.
If you are a light sleeper take the cabins outside.

Verified reviewThe place was really nice. The owners were polite and helpful. We really liked the breakfast and dinner. Absolutely worth of the money. The place is further away from the center of Theth, but o see that as a bonus. There was less tourists and the place was peaceful.
Water was dripping from the sink and the water was all over the bathroom. But it wasn’t much of a problem, because we were most of the time outside. The owner was open to offer us a different cabin.

Verified reviewStaff was very friendly, close to popular hike, location away from center but thats what we wanted. We liked dedicated house per couple.
Road was a bit hard to handle after a rain. But it was doable with regular not 4x4 car.

Verified reviewευχαριστώ φίλοι! Thank you so much for our stay! The staff is great, the rooms als exactly like the pictures and it’s a 20 min walk to the river down. The waterfall is 1.5 hours easy walk. We’ve eaten with four persons with drinks for 40€, so the pricing is good. The food is all local and the breakfast is really good.

Verified reviewStunning, cozy, clean and spacious cabins. Was so happy when we saw them. The family running the place was so lovely. Great free breakfast and restaurant.
20/30 minute walk from the town and any shops. Opposite direction from the blue eye but worth the extra walk.

Verified reviewPlace is fine, breakfast is good, staff is nice. 20-25min walk from restaurants.
The hut is a bit cramped, the water turns coldish after 1 shower. They take no card, so you need cash, no where was this mentioned. Sometimes smells a bit like sewage.

Verified reviewAmazing spot, so picturesque and quiet, surrounded by the Alps. The staff were amazing, the food was tasty, and the room was comfortable and clean. We stayed two nights and really enjoyed ourselves! Only 1km from the end of the Valbonë to Theth hike as well which is very handy after a long day of walking.
It's probably a 20 - 30 minute walk from the main town of Theth - not a problem for us at all, but keep it in mind if you need to walk in and get supplies as the guest house only does breakfast and dinner

Verified reviewThe cabin was very cosy, in a serene setting with fantastic views of the mountains. The bed was comfortable and the facilities were clean and just what we needed. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and served good food at the restaurant.
It is a 30 min walk from the village but it’s not much of an issue.

Verified reviewIf you want an authentic Albanian experience, this is definitely the place to stay. Family run, incredibly friendly, a small holding, home produced food, very comfortable cabins, idyllic location just above the river (walk there in a few minutes to see fireflies at dusk, or sunbathe and cool off during the day). Some reviews mention the road up from Theth, but it is totally fine for even a small hire car. We walked from there up to the Valbone Pass and back, and also had a gorgeous 9km walk along the river to the Blue Eye (packed brunch provided by the family). So relaxing to just be there with superb views of the mountains. Cannot recommend more highly. Stayed for four days and wish we could have stayed longer.
It was all lovely.
Our hearts are thankfull🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
