Shower doesn't have courtains or door, so the bathroom gets all wet after shower.

Big room, comfortable bed, very clean and well located (20min from the end of Valbona-Theth trail). Breakfast was very good, and you can ask for dinner (15 euro per person), wich was also good. Our room had a nice balcony with beautiful view.

That I could not have stayed longer...

The family could not do enough to make my stay as pleasant as possible. Great views and the food is amazing. Comfortable bed, hot shower, VG wi-fi. The Blue Eye hike is beautiful. I highly recommend staying here and hope to return there again as the hospitality was top-notch!

There was a power outage from afternoon through to the next morning when we checked out, bit of a shame this wasn’t rectified earlier as we were unable to charge our phones. Understand these things happen though and the staff discounted our stay (we were not charged for dinner) which we very much appreciated.

Wifi connection from the room wasn’t great, but it just allowed to enjoy the authentic experience even more.

This was the perfect place to experience Theth, a great location away from the busier centre but still walkable. Amazing hospitality and the food was some of the best I’ve had in Europe (there’s also a lot of it). I wish I could have stayed an entire week. Amazing view from the balcony, bed was cosy.

The bathroom becomes very wet/humid after use due to the lack of shower curtain and ventilation/window. They use very cheap led lights which are degrading the atmosphere. This could easily be changed by using a warmer colour.

A guesthouse run by a welcoming and helpful family. They try to give the authentic Albanian experience with the use of materials in their house, but above all the food they serve! Locally produced meat, vegetables, wine and rakija.

Everything was perfect :)

We loved our 3 night stay. The location was perfect, close to the Church and near the start of the Grunas Waterfall/Blue Eye trek. We arrived quite late and they were very kind by making a huge dinner for us at only €15 per person without having booked it before. Breakfast was always filling and on two occasions it was in a buffet style. The bathroom was connected to our room and the mountain view from the balcony was fantastic. The owners were lovely and communication was great. They spoke in English too. We would definitely recommend the guesthouse.

A little hot during stay but it was July and we were hiking, to be expected!

Friendliest hosts, very close to the hiking trails, lovely garden to sit outside and relax, little kittens hanging out as well! Hosts offered us raki each night, and the guesthouse has slowly expanded over time, very nice to chat with them. Also away from some of the more commercial center, which we preferred!

The location is about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Theth where a lot of the mini markets are, pick ups back to Shkoder and where the trail from Valbona ends.

It is very close to the church in Theth and great for additional hiking trails. Strong WiFi. Lots of hot water. Yummy breakfast (pancakes like crepes were my fav). Extremely welcoming hosts. Quiet and dark in the rooms. Very cute kittens.

I'd say that it's s not ok to make a night party in a place where people are either preparing for a hike or trying to sleep after all day hike ...still giving you 10/10, we really enjoyed the stay

We stayed here for two nights after finishing the Valbonë–Theth hike and couldn’t have picked a better place to relax and recover. The location is perfect — just a short walk to the waterfall and the iconic Theth church, surrounded by breathtaking 360° mountain views. Eddie and his family were incredibly hospitable. They always checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Our twin room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable—perfect for resting after the hike. The food was another highlight. We had the home-cooked €15 dinner both nights and it was fantastic — plentiful and made with fresh, local ingredients. The included breakfast buffet was equally delicious, with a great variety to start the day. There’s plenty of outdoor seating where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. For animal lovers, friendly cats and adorable kittens roam the property, adding to the charm. Highly recommend this guesthouse for a cozy, welcoming stay in Theth. We’d happily return!

The breakfast buffet was delicious but only started at 7:30am. We wished it could have been a bit earlier so we could have started our hike earlier to beat the heat.

The guesthouse was very cute and comfortable. We loved playing with the 3 kittens that live there. The food was really delicious. They helped organize a ride for us to the the start of the blue eye hike and booked a shuttled for us to Shkoder. They even gave us a ride to the shuttle bus parking lot.

The whole property was splendid. My room was so spacious. The breakfast was amazing. The dinner they served to me was tasty and very good quality. Even the portion is good for 2 people. The owners are lovely too. They’re kind enough to help me fixed my hiking shoes with adhesive 😍. I would definitely stay at Bujtina Grrela again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!

The only negative was the very slow drainage in the shower area although this seems to be a constant problem throughout Albania

Amazing location in the foothills of the mountains in a peaceful, quiet part of the village within proximity of excellent restaurants, and easy access to Blue Eye and the waterfalls.
