We had such a wonderful stay at this guesthouse – nothing but positive words! It’s run by the friendliest family who truly go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The atmosphere is peaceful, the garden is beautifully maintained, and the views are simply breathtaking. Our room was spotless and the shower was fantastic! Breakfast isn’t included in the room rate, but it’s absolutely worth it – especially with that stunning view. The evening menu is also highly recommended. On our third night we made the mistake of trying dinner elsewhere… it ended up being twice the price for half the food. When we told our young host about it, he even offered us a complimentary soup to cheer us up – such a sweet gesture!

Not a negative but just good to know - If you are catching the van/bus from Shkoder you should ask the driver to drop you off at the guesthouse driveway as it goes past. Otherwise there is a trail that us much quicker than walking up the road

You cannot tilt the window, it only opens fully and without bars or railing it's a safety hazard (especially for kids). It would have been nice to have a little fridge in the room, but they offered to keep our food in their fridge in the kitchen!

We, a family of 4 adventurous souls, came to Theth for a active holiday and couldn't have picked a better accomodation. The room was spacious, with modern furniture, a TV, bathroom and big windows with perfect view of the mountains. The host family is exceptionally friendly, three generations working together to make your stay as nice as possible. Grandma brought blankets and cushions for us to sit on the grass, mum made the most delicious food and the son, Ervin, gave us tips where to hike and what to see :) I highly recommend the optional breakfast and dinner, it's homemade and delicious for a reasonable price! Note: the room we stayed in is not for 4 persons! Either we clicked something wrong or booking ignored our 2 kids, but either way we managed with adding the big tv chairs beside the bed. Ervin even offered free cancellation if we find a better accomodation, which was really selfless and courteous considering we booked 3 nights.

Our stay was absolutely spectacular! The property is beautiful, new, spotless and equipped with everything you might need. The views are simply breathtaking. I highly recommend having breakfast and dinner here, everything is homemade and truly delicious. The family who runs the place is wonderful, warm and welcoming. I would come back without any hesitation and strongly recommend this accommodation. The road to get here has many curves, so it’s much better to stay in this place, from here you can trekking around and visit the nearby waterfall. My advice is to stay at least 2–3 nights, since the trip to reach the property is long and this way you can fully enjoy the area.

From start to finish our stay at Bujtina Terthorja was a 10/10. The room was extremely comfortable, the staff incredibly accommodating, the meals (both dinner and breakfast) were probably the best we had our entire trip. The property is well located and surrounded by beautiful mountains and greenery. We will definitely be returning.

Around a kilometer from Theth, which has its pluses and minuses. We were dealing with extreme August heat, so that added time and effort to any hike which we did. But then we grew to love the path between our place and Theth because it includes a lot of woods, goes over the river, and is actually really lovely, we will miss it! We loved swimming right there in the river too, so that can be seen as a bonus.

Surrounded by astounding beauty. Lovely family run place. Erwin the manager speaks excellent English and was very helpful. The breakfast and dinner offered were both delicious and bountiful, even for vegetarians like us. Generous and friendly. The shower was strong and the hot water plentiful, and the bed very comfortable.

Everything was perfect! Best accomodation during our 3 weeks in the Balkans. The family was so nice with us and our baby! The food was crazy good . They gave us recommendations for trekking with a baby. I strongly recommend and I would go back for sure !

Myself and two friends stayed three nights and could easily have stayed longer! What a tranquil slice of heaven. The hosts were lovely and helpful and did their best to ensure we had everything we needed. Not to mention the delicious meals - breakfast and dinner served on the patio with a picturesque view of the mountains each day. A wonderful base for day hiking from Theth, I can fault nothing about our stay!

Nothing applies directly to them, but rather to getting to the location as a whole. A 30-kilometer drive on a very narrow road with many blind corners. Be prepared to stop or pull over to let others pass.

Comfortable room and bath. Beautiful location. They served a large, excellent breakfast. The staff were very friendly and informative. They have a wealth of knowledge on hiking in the area. They speak English.

We stayed at the accommodation for 3 days (2 nights) with 3 friends to go hiking in the mountains around Theth. We we liked, in chronological order: - The good communication upfront; - Friendly welcoming, topped with some fresh fruit (very positive since we arrived quite late in the evening; - The room itself: good beds, spacious bathroom, balcony with beautiful mountain view, all perfectly clean; - The personnel: the whole family was friendly, very warm, and helped us with finding the perfect hiking routes: just great service! - The food (both breakfast and dinner): no other place needed!; All together we would like to score the property an 11, however scores only go up to 10. Just amazing!

Nothing....it was all fantastic

Everything is amazing! The location, the views, the staff and the food! We were travelling with a 3 year old and the staff were wonderful with him. Would recommend having dinner and breakfast as the food quality is superb!
