Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

EstoniaThere were some delays during dinner. Food was good, but some orders did not come as quickly as we hoped and sometimes we were left without attention. Some sunbeds were broken and we would have liked to order some cocktails (wine was available). We had room for 4 and it was bit small, but we managed :)
Location is lovely - small village in the mountains. Drive to hotel was doable by minivan. We were warmly welcomed. As cars need to be parked bit away from hotel you needed to carry your bags to hotel. Staff offered help with that, but we managed by ourselves. Pool was nice and view from there was really great. Food we had for dinner and breakfast was tasteful and fresh. Walk in village and option to visit local church was nice option to spend some time.

PolandAbsolutely exceptional! The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel instantly at home. The spotless, cozy rooms offered breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, and the rooftop pool was a perfect bonus. Delicious homemade food made the stay even more special. Truly a gem — highly recommended!

United KingdomNothing, everything was perfect.
Set aside within the hills, this property was an absolute treasure that we discovered. We used it as a halfway stop between Sarandë and Berat. The view from the room, pool and dining area were exceptional and the staff were incredibly friendly, looking to help in any way they could. We decided to have dinner at their restaurant which was very reasonably priced and incredibly tasty.

FranceWe booked the last room available, but unfortunately, it had no windows. To make things worse, a power outage in the middle of the night caused the room to be brightly lit, which was very disruptive. While the food itself was great, there was no menu or price list available for dinner. It would be very helpful to have the available dishes and their prices written down, even on a simple piece of paper. On a side note, the location is not at all in Gjirokastër. You have to drive for more than 30 minutes to get there.
This is a great bujtina, lost in the middle of nowhere. The staff is very friendly, the pool is nice, and it's not expensive at all. We had a wonderful time.

SwedenThe property was set out in the mountains, making it so spacious and peaceful. We had two bookings in two different rooms and they were both so beautiful. It’s a 35 minute drive from a Gjirokaster and so worth it.

FranceThe only problem was that the rooms don't have blackout curtains (or even semi-blackout curtains). For a person who likes to sleep with zero light, I struggled to sleep at night and was waken up at 5 a.m when the day started, because it felt like I was sleeping outside (the room has 4 windows)
The location is exceptional. The rooms are so comfortable, large and cozy. The swimming pool, with its bar and terrasse, is clean and has a spectacular view on the mountains and the valley below. The staff are so nice and always available for help. The restaurant of the facility was the cherry on top of the cake : delicious food with a big variety of dishes, all for a very good price (6-8 € per person for starters + platter + drink). And finally the facility has a free parking spot !

A Hidden Gem with a Stunning Pool View! We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful guesthouse, which had just recently opened. Everything felt fresh and welcoming. The highlight was definitely the pool — the view from there was absolutely breathtaking! Our room was right next to the pool, which made the whole experience even more special. Both breakfast and dinner were fantastic — delicious food served in a peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

Czech RepublicThe smell of garbage, rusty toilet accessories, broken toilet seat and a very impractical shower where water gets into the entire bathroom and room. Untidy terrace - leaves, bird droppings.
Quiet environment under the mountains, very comfortable bed, size of the room and terrace with a beautiful view. Friendly staff, very rich and tasty breakfast. Overall very beautiful accommodation.

United KingdomMenu choice for dinner was via a translated phone call, so it wasn't entirely clear what the choices were! Having said that, we enjoyed what was brought to us! In all honesty, the food was possibly a little over priced in comparison to meals throughout the rest of our stay in Albania, but not too much.
We loved the location in a small village. It had a really nice atmosphere. Friendly villagers who opened up the local church for us without being asked. Nice room with a balcony. Staff didn't speak English but a phone call to someone who did made life easier! Food was local and nice, fresh fruit from the tree for breakfast etc! Dinner finished with a sliced apple dish with cinnamon and honey - so simple and lovely that we're going to recreate it now we're back home.

ItalyEverything about this place is perfect. We had an amazing and peaceful family time. The staff is the sweetest and they are always looking to make you feel comfortable. The breakfast makes you feel like home, everything is organic and homemade, very lovely. The restaurant is really good, the quality of the ingredients is super, and they even serve their own wine. The best is the quiet atmosphere, to being apart from the crowds make you experience for real the mountain vibe and relaxes you immediately. They are building a pool at the moment so we will definitely return to this magical place when it’s ready! Thank you for the beautiful memories!

Czech RepublicAlbanian countryside, a beautiful village in the foothills. Clean family room, although quite small and without a fridge. Everything is very clean, and the staff is perfectly trained and very attentive—nothing is a problem. A car is a necessity. Excellent multi-course dinner. In summary: a very nice village hotel.
