How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewThe Azure Inn has a lot of potential as a property. It offers secure parking, which is rare in Sarandë, and the rooms are spacious, modern, and well-designed. On the surface, it’s exactly the kind of place you’d want to stay. Unfortunately what the hotel succeeds with in terms of construction and physical appearance of completely overshadowed by the frankly, horrendous customer service
Our experiences with the staff at reception resemble interactions one might expect at a military bootcamp more closely than an alleged 4* property. A very slow payment processing terminal resulted in accusations of card problems on my end (within earshot of waiting guests) being instructed to sit and wait while other guests were tended to and then being told my card had been declined while the payment was still processing - the terminal printed a receipt about midway through the receptionist shouting at us that our cards aren’t working and to go to an ATM as it’s not his problem and he’s processed “thousands of euros of transactions that day”. No apology was offered though the receipt and keycards were thrown over the desk to us - better than nothing I suppose. Later that evening we were shouted at for talking with other guests, told to “go away to hell,” for “disturbing the peace” and warned we would “fix this tomorrow”. Which to be frank, came across as a threat. The next day, one of our group was refused help with access to her room as she didn’t have a keycard with her on the basis that only the maids have master keys (we were given one per room). She waited two hours and was only let in when the receptionist changed shift at which point it became clear the master key was in the reception desk the entirety of this time. I’ve stayed in lots of hotels / hostels / AirBnB’s of various quality and rating and have never encountered anything like what awaits the guests of the Azure Inn Hotel. I’d almost recommend you go purely to experience the sheer brazen hostility. It should rebrand as The Karen diner of the hotel world.

Verified reviewThe room was clean and comfortable. The property was well maintained with decent amenities.
The staff, especially at the reception, left a poor impression. The receptionist was uninterested and unprofessional. The room was not prepared for four people as reserved. When we pointed this out, the receptionist said that the housekeeper had left at 4 p.m. and suggested that we set up the beds and bedding ourselves. Only after I insisted did he call other staff members, who entered the room with their shoes on and started setting up the beds – dismantling an armchair and a sofa. We did not receive an official invoice, only an incomplete confirmation that did not correspond to a proper bill. At dinner, the waiter was friendly, but during breakfast it was clear that he lacked sufficient experience. Although breakfast was supposed to start at 8 a.m., it was not ready on time. Overall, the organization and staff left a negative impression, and professionalism needs to be improved.

The internet did not work well for two days. Then, it was the elevator that broke down. There are two elevators in the property and one did not work when we arrived. Then, the other one stopped working. We were told that it was because there were too many people using it…. One guy at the front desk was aloof, would walk away before I was done speaking to him. About the internet not working, his response was that he was not a technician… Breakfast was good but they do not keep up with their stock. One day there was no black tea, just herbal, the other day no butter or Nutella, just margarine. Clearly management needs to keep up with things better.

Verified reviewWe would like to provide feedback regarding our stay at Azure Inn Hotel, as we are unfortunately experiencing several issues that do not align with what was advertised at the time of booking. Firstly, our room was not ready upon arrival, even though it was clearly stated on the website that check-in was from 1:00 PM. We were not given access to the room until 3:00 PM, and received no explanation or compensation for the delay. Additionally, there were no towels in the room, and we had to request them multiple times before they were finally delivered. Furthermore, we are experiencing major issues with both internet access and mobile signal in the room. This is extremely frustrating, especially since it was stated that the room would have Wi-Fi. We have contacted the front desk several times about this, but unfortunately, we feel that our concerns have not been taken seriously. The staff has been unhelpful and unprofessional in handling our complaints. We have booked a 10-night stay and are paying a considerable amount for this accommodation. It is therefore disappointing that we are not receiving the quality or amenities we were promised. We hope that you take this feedback seriously and expect a proper follow-up or compensation.
Well....these 4 clients were without a doubt the most problematic of all in entire season here....the towels they left were in catastrophic conditions not to be used again and they kept asking for more and they put music in extreme volumes and clients nearby were complaining about that...the sarcasm and loud talk ( including insulting in their native language)...not mentioning the lifestyle they had which was everything except normal and others were looking in shock to them...imagine we also gave these cliens a better room from the one they paid and now they ask for compensation and the staff was always helpful!!!

Verified reviewThe hotel is located in a area with plenty of other hotels, restaurants. There is a nearby beach on which the hotel as some reserved chairs. This beach is really cool by the way, where the river flows into the ocean. A bit cooler water than other beaches because of this, but that suited us well. Room was fair, nice balcony and good bathroom with amenities. Air condition worked well. Breakfast had a fair selection of different items.
While most of the staff were friendly and helpful, one team member could have been more attentive and polite. Might be affected by langage barriers, but still. The "private beach" is not private at all, rather it's a public beach. The hotel has some sunchairs there, but they are not labeled so one has to guess. Still, it's a nice and calm beach with a unique setting of river and ocean.

The entire team – from the friendly receptionists to the talented Italian chef – is exceptionally kind, helpful, and welcoming. The hosts are a wonderful family who make you feel truly at home – very warm, generous, and caring. The hotel is also very family-friendly, making it ideal for guests with children. The breakfast buffet is fresh every morning, with delicious options including seasonal fruit. The food from the Italian kitchen is outstanding – authentic and full of flavor. Sunbeds and umbrellas are provided for a relaxing stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and would gladly return!
