Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The hotel is very beautifull. Everything is new and clean. The staff is amazing. Never seen such beautiful and kind people. The hotel is run by an Albanian family and they make you part of their family. Amazing stay and so helpfull. I think one of the best hotels we have ever been so far (saying as someone who travels all over europe).

Wonderful stay, large and very comfortable room, everything was brand new and very tasteful. A few meters from the beach where there is an excellent beach club. Extremely kind owner and his team at the same level. Impeccable breakfast. We have never been so welcomed in the places we have been to in Europe. They are always ready to help. Thank you very much! We will be back for sure.

TurkeyKsamil is generally very popular and can be quite crowded, so having a private beach would have been ideal, but the hotel is located close to several beaches, which was a big plus.
This is a lovely, family-run hotel where you truly feel like a guest, not just a customer. The staff are incredibly kind and warm, always ready to help with a smile. The breakfast was elegant and thoughtfully prepared, definitely not an average buffet. The room was clean and comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the nice balcony. The parking area was very practical and easy to use, which made our stay even more convenient.

AustraliaNeed a bin in the main room. Organisation of staff not so good around breakfast time. Food in Albania is all the same, every menu is the same in every restaurant. Hard to find unique food.
Everything brand new. Pool lovely. Good choice of breakfast ( when they could figure it out whether it was table service or buffet - one day we had a 25 min wait as they weren’t ready). Rooms lovely and spacious, nice balconies. Quiet area. Good location for walk over the hill to Landi beach club with good value sunbeds.

LithuaniaOne small thing to note – walking around Ksamil can be a bit challenging, as the town isn’t really adapted for pedestrians. There are very few sidewalks, and traffic can be somewhat intense, making walking less comfortable at times. However, the incredible natural beauty of the area more than makes up for it – stunning views, crystal-clear water, and a peaceful atmosphere all around.
We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel in Albania. The location is perfect – very close to the water, even though it doesn’t have direct beach access. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and everything exceeded our expectations. The staff is absolutely amazing – so friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. We were so happy with everything that we decided to extend our stay for one more night. Before that, we had already left a positive review, and to our surprise, the staff kindly thanked us for it – such a thoughtful and kind gesture that made us feel really appreciated. The cleanliness was outstanding, the rooms and surroundings were spotless, and everything was well-maintained and tidy. The team went out of their way to fulfill every request we had, always with a smile. We truly felt at home here and are already planning to return in the future. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area – you will not be disappointed!

LithuaniaThe only downside is that Ksamil lacks well-developed pedestrian infrastructure, which can make walking around a bit challenging.
We had a wonderful stay at Asters Hotel in Ksamil. The hotel is new, exceptionally clean, and very cozy—everything is of the highest standard. The staff, who are family members, are incredibly kind, attentive, and go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay. The breakfast was excellent, and they gladly accommodated all our needs. The pool area is beautiful and relaxing, and the beaches are just a short walk away. Rooms are cleaned and maintained daily to a high standard. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed my stay here! The location was great — just 2 to 5 minutes from the beach, which made it super easy to go for a swim or walk by the sea anytime. The apartment was very comfortable, nicely furnished in a modern style, super clean and had everything I needed. The view from the balcony was amazing — waking up and seeing the sea every morning was such a highlight. Wi-Fi worked perfectly during my stay, and there was free parking available which made things even more convenient. The host was super friendly and helpful, always quick to respond and made sure everything was okay. Overall, it felt like a very relaxed and welcoming place. I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

BelgiumOur stay at Astor Hotel was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by the incredibly friendly, helpful, and polite staff. The service is truly next-level – every day our room was spotlessly cleaned, fresh towels were provided, and everything was perfectly arranged without us even asking. The breakfast was outstanding – fresh fruit, delicious pancakes, eggs made exactly how you like them… and the best part: if you asked for something one day, it would magically appear on your plate the next morning. Just amazing. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom sparkling clean, and the rain shower was pure luxury. The hotel itself is beautiful and modern, with a gorgeous infinity-style pool filled with cool, refreshing water. Watching the sunset from the pool area in the evening was an unforgettable experience. The location is perfect: you’re in Ksamil, but tucked away from the party noise and crowds. It’s quiet, peaceful, and only a 2-minute walk to one of the best beach clubs – Principote Beach Club. If you’re staying at Astor, make sure to visit – it’s absolutely worth it. The sunbeds around the pool are super comfortable, and the entire vibe is just calm, clean, and classy. We truly felt pampered every single day. Without a doubt, if we ever return to Ksamil, we’re staying here again. Highly, highly recommended.

They go out of their way to make you feel at home, which really adds a personal touch to the whole experience. The rooms are spotless and well-kept, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. You can tell cleanliness is a priority here, which I really appreciated. Each morning started off right with a delicious breakfast — a great variety of fresh options that really hit the spot. The best part? The beach is literally a 2-minute walk from the hotel. It couldn’t be more convenient — perfect for catching early-morning sun or unwinding in the evening.

United KingdomIt’s not beachfront, so if you’re looking to step out directly onto the sand, keep in mind there’s a short walk. But honestly, the peaceful location more than makes up for it.
Asters Hotel is a lovely, brand-new, family-run establishment tucked away from the busy streets, making it perfect for a peaceful stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and always happy to help, whether it was recommending great local restaurants or even organising a surprise birthday cake. The rooms were clean, modern, and cosy - you can really tell they’ve put love into the details. It’s not right on the beach, but it’s just a short 5–10 minute walk, so we didn’t mind at all.

NorwayNo complaints from our side. It will only get better for each year as the hotel manager is eager to receive feedback and improvement suggestions from guests.
The hotel is a family run hotel. The staff / family genuinely cares about their guests and do everything they can to make the stay enjoyable and memorable. We had a fantastic and lovely stay at Asters Hotel the entire week. The hotel is brand new with high standards, nice furniture and a great location (quiet at evenings for good sleep, but still within short walking distance to beaches, restaurants, market etc). The rooms and looks of the hotel are just as nice in real life as on the pictures on Booking.com. The breakfast was excellent and offered great variety of choices as well as high quality coffee. New beach towels whenever we needed new ones. Housekeeping and cleanliness was excellent throughout our stay. The pool is very nice and well maintained. We highly recommend the hotel. By far the nicest hotel in Ksamil both in terms of standards and service.
