You can’t use the balcony in the afternoon because there’s no shade. Have to pay for the full stay in cash, not a problem but would have appreciated someone telling me when I checked in because we had to rush to the cash machine at check out.

I would like if they had a line at the window to spread laundry/swimsuits after the beach since our room didn't have a balcony.

The room was remarkably clean and the staff stayed on top of it daily. The breakfast is a prefixed menu but it changes daily. One day it was traditional pancakes and the other day croissants, for the last day yogurt, always accompanied by eggs, sausage, fresh fruit and vegetables, and cheese. Loved the spread. Also parking is included and not too far from the hotel, like 50-80 meters. The owners were verh accommodating and kind. And the location is right next to the main promenade right in front of the sea making it easier for the morning/evening for a stoll. They also offer beach towels.

Our room didn't have a nice view, but we didn't reserve the a room that offered that.

The location was perfect, and the owners and family were lovely. As soon as we got there after a long difficult drive, the owner welcomed us like old friends, gave us a seat and orange juice and whisked away the car to a safe parking place. Breakfast was yummy and diverse, and the room was very clean. Good energy saving mechanisms, and great AC - just make sure you shut the window or it won't turn on.

There is nothing I didn't like, it was fantastic.

This is a very charming, family-run hotel. The location is very central (mid-point of all the beaches in Himare) and it has incredible sea views. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the sea was a highlight. The room was comfortable and well-equipped. The restaurant serves incredible fresh seafood at very reasonable prices (try the grilled sea bass, you won't regret it) However, the true selling point of this hotel is the lovely family that runs it. They were so sweet and accommodating. I was a solo traveller and they made me feel like a member of the family and helped me with everything I needed (parking the car, recommendations, etc.) Thank you for an amazing stay, I hope to be back in the future!

It was expensive (probably about 5 times more expensive), compared to other locations in Albania but it would seem this is the price at the beach.

Everything is beyond wonderful at Arxontiko’s! Extraordinary quality hotel right across a small road from the main beach of Himare. Just a couple of minutes from a smaller, very well organized beach (called Platz i Maracit, I think). Arxontiko is clearly family run and the welcoming owners do everything to make sure you are comfortable and feel at home. Excellent restaurant with delicious breakfast and also served us by far the best dinner we had in Albania. The rooms are very comfortable with high quality mattresses and all the amenities you could hope for. The views from the balconies are extraordinary, you can see Albania, Greece (Corfu) and Italy all in one panorama.

The property was right on the beach and had everything we could need. The owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable and even got me a cake for my birthday. We loved it here so much we even extended for another night. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

Absolutely Nothing to complain about

The family was very kind and hospitable and made all the guests feel valued and treasured. The hotel is located right on the beach and you can enjoy the beautiful sunset from the hotel restaurant. There is garage parking next door and the hotel will help you park your car. The owner takes a lot of pride in the hotel and creates a memorable experience for all the guests

Sad to leave ARXONTIKO after a lovely 3-night stay. The hotel had wonderful views of the water and is walking distance from lots of restaurants and nightlife. But if you’re looking for a great meal, you only need to go downstairs to the restaurant. The family who runs this hotel and restaurant have their own gardens where they grown their veggies, so everything was very fresh. The room was comfortable and modern. They provided beach towels free of charge. I should add that all the linens smelled delicious. Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, a different pastry each day - my favorite was a croissant filled with chocolate, a fluffy omelette, orange juice, and coffee. Many heartfelt thank to Leonidas, Andreas, Melpomeni, Dimitris, and the rest of the ARXONTIKO staff for making our stay in Himarë so memorable, and for making us feel so welcomed from the moment we arrived.

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. The breakfasts were a real highlight—fresh, delicious, and a perfect start to each day. The location was ideal: just a short and easy walk to the beautiful beaches, yet far enough from the main restaurant area to enjoy peaceful nights without a lot of noise. Our room was comfortable and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was much appreciated during the warm days. Parking in Himare can be tricky, but the hotel provided a garage and the staff kindly helped us park. Once we arrived, we didn’t need to use the car again until we left—everything we needed was within walking distance. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Himare!

There are no lifts and all the rooms are on the first floor and above so travelling up and down with a little one was tricky as we had to take her out of the pushchair and store that downstairs every time we entered and left.

Excellent location, just a few minutes from the beach and a short drive away from lots of other beaches and attractions. The staff are lovely, they’re a small family run boutique so really attentive and responsive. The balcony hot tub was amazing and completely private with the most exceptional views of the sea.

It is a family business And everyone is very welcoming and worried about you having a good experience. They are absolutely kind. The room is big, the bathroom is modern, completely functional and clean, there is air conditioning and the view is breathtaking. Leonidas (one of their sons) gave us many good recommendations (like the boat tour that be even negotiated for me in Albanian haha) as well as suggestions on the menu. When doing the check in, they greeted us with orange juice and offered to park our car. Their restaurant is D E L I C I O U S and has a gorgeous view.!
