Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TurkeySince the sun loungers on the beach are made of fabric, they are very deformed, worn out and dirty.
The view, breakfast, room cleanliness and location were amazing. It's nice to have your own beach, even if it's small. Free parking is also sufficient.

United KingdomThere is road construction work currently going on to the rear of the hotel which creates quite a lot of noise during working hours. Biggest issue is there is a new beach club around 400m away which is really load but I think this is being dealt with by the hotel owners which should be rectified soon.
The Hotel Artur is a fantastic family run hotel. Its location was perfect for us directly on the beach with the best views and sunsets. It is incredibly clean with really friendly staff. It is not in the centre of the busy Ksamil but is only a 10-15 minute walk along a pedestrian walkway if you like the hustle and bustle of the town. Breakfast is great and substantial with really fresh produce. As a guest you have the benefit of free sun-beds as all other beaches and beach clubs in Ksamil you need to pay. Fantastic Family run hotel with the best views!

FranceI think it is the last "human scale"hotel in Ksamil. All others are very big. Here the owners are very kind. Very nice view from the room. The room is very simple but comfortable. There is a car park.

IrelandIt's really at the beginning of the town so you are far from the main area with restaurants and bars. There was one day that electricity was shut down and unfortunately they don't have a plan b. Also the view from our room was bad, it was supposed to be to garden/mountain and it was facing other buildings and there was just a kind of a parking area from the hotel
The hotel is right in front of their beach and there is quick access to the other beaches in ksamil

SwedenThe rooms decor could use a little updating. It is a bit of a walk into the main restaurant area of Ksamil. But there is a great walking path along the water so we didn't see this as a negative. The furniture in the balcony was not so comfortable for lounging.
Nice hotel/restaurant with beach access. The accommodations were fair. Our family had two Seaview rooms with balconies. Each room had 2 double beds and a mini fridge. The beds were okay. The furnishings were okay and filled the purpose. The bathrooms were newly updated and fresh. Great access to the highway but this may be a negative during the high season as you do hear the traffic. The staff were working hard to get the hotel open for the season. We were in Albania the first week of April. The breakfast was awesome!

United KingdomMaybe extra blankets in the bedrooms would be nice for the cold nights.
Nice small hotel right on the beach. The beach is small, but very clean and away from the busy centre of Ksamil, so fells like more private and cosy. It was good for the children to play. Still close enough to walk or drive to the centre. The bedrooms were super clean as were the remaining parts of the hotel. Bathrooms were modern. The balcony was facing the beach and had small table and chairs to relax. Dinner and breakfast were very good. The dining area (indoor and outdoor) is facing the beach and has a beautiful sunset. Meals were quite good, fish soup was delicious. The staff was super friendly and provided extra blankets late night, as the night was a bit cold. There’s AC in the rooms but we thought it wasn’t very sustainable to stay on all night to keep bedroom warm, so blankets were perfect. Thank you for the lovely stay.

NorwayFabulous location. The hotel sits directly at the beach, which is very convenient. It is a little bit off the main tourist area, which makes it a bit more quiet and peaceful, but still only a short stroll away. The rooms were clean and spacious. The restaurant had great food, and breakfast was so yummy with a large selection. Staff were friendly and very service minded. Would definitely stay there again.

United KingdomWe had a great stay at Hotel Artur. The location is brilliant, right on the beach and the rooms come with an umbrella and 2 sunbeds which is brilliant. The bathroom was super nice, newly refurbished. Also there was a fridge with small freezer section in the room that was great for storing water/ picnic foods. Balcony with small wall attached clothes drying facility and outdoor tap on the balcony which was good for washing sand off items etc. Breakfast was lovely, nice to be able to order off the menu and it was made fresh rather than a buffet which has sat there for hours. Also coffee was included which we have found is not always the case in other Albanian hotels. All the staff were super friendly and helpful and when we had an issue with our air con they came up with a solution to fix it very quickly. Overall the value for money was brilliant and we will 100% be back to stay in the future.

FranceThe air conditioning didn’t work well. The room is a bit small for 3 people. If you want to eat outside of the hotel restaurant you need to walk a bit (maybe 15min) as there is nothing nearby, it’s located a bit far from the center.
Nice view on the beach and the islands. Breakfast was rich and tasty. The staff is nice especially the ones serving the breakfast. The hotel has a private beach, one umbrella and two beds for each room, but you need to bring your own towels. The beach was cleaned every day.
