The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. When we got lost in the narrow, steep streets of the old town, one of them walked down to meet us, got into our car as a passenger, and guided us directly to the guesthouse. We were welcomed with cold water and deliciously sweet watermelon – the perfect refreshment after a long, tiring journey. The next morning, we had an amazing breakfast with a breathtaking view of Gjirokastra and the castle – absolutely magical. The room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped – comfortable beds, fast internet, TV, and a fridge with water and local beer. The location is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by a lovely garden, and the views are just stunning. This was meant to be just a one-night stop, but honestly – we regret not spending our whole vacation here. ARPET Guesthouse is a place you’ll want to come back to.

Guesthouse with beautifully renovated and comfortable room. Family atmosphere, delicious breakfast and amazing view. It is on top of Gjirokastër, so arriving by car is a little tricky (Google Maps ideas are partially incorrect, and there are roadworks blocking one of the roads).

Arpet Guesthouse is the best accommodation we have had during our visit to Albania. We are a family of four with two boys (11 and 14) and the room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable. There are two outside seating areas, and the views of the castle, mountains and surrounding skyline are superb. Bruna is a perfect host, wonderfully hospitable and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We could not have asked for more.

Despite the help from the host, getting to the location causes a stream of sweat down your back if you drive your own car. Narrow and winding. Do not use Google Maps.

A great place both as a base for exploring the city and its surroundings as well as for an evening chillout with a view of the city and the surrounding castle. Tasty breakfast, comfortable beds and a large bathroom.

The drive to the apartment is a bit challenging as it is right on the hill and the roads are small and steep. Also Google map is not really much of help here. After showering for sometime, water might start to get less warm so it is not recommended to shower too long.

Vey nice apartment! Apartment is on a higher point of the old town of Gjirokaster and offers a great view over the old town and the city from the terrace. Apartment itself is also in the style of the old town, which gives the exotic vibe. The hosts, though not being able to speak English, are extremely friendly and helpful. They helped me do laundry and sent good breakfast to us every morning. The location is ideal as it is 10 min walk to the old bazaar, from which it is not far to the castle.

Be careful if you come by car; Google Maps might mislead you, as you're in the heart of the old town!

The room was spacious, bright, with a stunning view of the castle, and spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom. Bruna was an exceptional host and helped us a lot. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the view as well. The location is perfect, right in the center of the old town and near the castle, with all the restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. We will definitely come back!

The property was perfect but don’t rely on Google Maps to get you there. Contact the host. He helped us find it with no trouble.

Our lovely host brought a drink to welcome us to this beautiful place overlooking the castle in Gjirokastër. The accommodation was exceptionally clean with all the amenities. It was a pleasant walk to the castle and the old bazaar and back up to Arpet Guesthouse. The breakfast, served out on the terrace with a beautiful view, was amazing.

Be aware when arriving by car! The appartments location is not all that easy to find or drive to. Narrow steep streets that sometimes just ends all of a sudden without warning (no traffic signs etc). Ask the host for a video by whats app and they will send it or call them and have them meet you somewhere and lead you up. Google maps shows the correct spot of the apparment, but it will probably not find it's way there, because in this are google doesn't know where you can / can't drive. This is not the appartments fault, but if you are an unsure driver, this might not be the best spot for you. At least have full coverage on the car! Trust me on this one. In the first picture you can see where we got stuck after google had as drive there. The appartment is 100m to the right, but the road is undriveable from this point onward to the right. The host came to pic us up at this location and drove us up the right. Ask for the video in advance so you can study it a bit before arriving, as the video is 12 min long. But I promise it's worth the trouble! There is a room to park infront of the appartment.

AN AMAZING PLACE!!! A great view over the whole oldtown and castle. Private table overlooking it all while having a beer in the evening or for breakfast in the morning. The hosts are super welcoming and they came to pick us up after we got a bit lost on our way with our car. The appartment is super clean and comfy! Easy walk to the castle and old town, and the walk up isn't too bad at all. Not too steep. Would have liked to spend a few more night here for sure

Beautiful guesthouse with garden and view to the castle. Very clean and comfortable. Location is perfect, a few minutes walk to the town centre. The owner is super nice and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and can only recommend this place. Like other coments say, it's difficult to get there by car because Google maps does not find it well. But if you call the owner before arrival they will guide you, they even picked us up to help us get to the house.

as almost any place to stay in girokaster, it is not easy to find. Googles maps sent us on a wrong way, so we called and they came to help us and guide us to the place. it is very well located. 5 minutes to the bazaar and 15 minutes to the castle. they waited us with some local fruit and coffee. the room is very well. beds and bathroom ok. the view to the castle from the yard, the best! breakfast very good

The property is in a stunning location with a beautiful view, only 10 minutes walk down to the town. The hosts were very hospitable and friendly. Room very clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend this property if you are visiting Gjirokaster! :)

Beware of the tricky navigation of Google Maps in Gijrokaster. If you arrive by car, drive from the direction of Zekate House, otherwise you risk getting stuck in small pedestrian streets and Google tends to direct you through stairs.

Best view in Albania. Grab a bottle of wine and sit on the terrace, this will make your whole stay a great experience. The apartment itself is freshly renovated, you can also enjoy local breakfast, prepared by a lovely host.
