The wonderful hostess, the delicious food, the idyllic guesthouse and garden and the amazing view!!

It was truly an amazing experience to stay here. All started with a nice boat trip from the other side of the river, where I parked my car. The guesthouse is located in fabulous place, mountains behind and the area is so beautiful, green and quiet. I went to the boat trip to Koman with Dragobia boat (it picks you up right from the guest house), was paddling with a kayak and swimming. Afternoon nap in a hammock was relaxing and they have many small places in the yard, where you can relax and read a book. The owner family is very welcoming and their hospitality is overwhelming. The room and shared bathroom were tidy. I had tasty breakfast and dinner in the guest house, since there are no restaurants, also lunch option was available. All time there was possibility to have a coffee and a glass of wine and chat with the other guests and owners. My room was spacious and beautiful view from my balcony to the river, where you can see boats passing by. If you want to stay in a peaceful and remote place surrounded by the nature, this is it. Hopefully I have possibility to visit here again!

Beautiful place and views, calm, super clean and a great welcome

Perfect Getaway in the Mountains, with Wonderful Hospitality! This accommodation offered an absolutely unique experience! The journey itself was an adventure, as we reached the property by boat, which immediately set the tone for perfect tranquility. The setting in the mountains is simply beautiful; we woke up to a breathtaking panorama every morning. The cleanliness was impeccable; every detail was attended to, making us feel completely comfortable. The food was also divine, with every dish fresh and delicious. What’s more, the family who maintains the house are simply wonderful people! They were incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive, which greatly contributed to making us feel at home. Huge thanks to them for their care! If you're looking for true rejuvenation and closeness to nature, don't miss this place! I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

The hosts Shpendi and Kristina were so very kind and did everything to give us the best stay possible. Shpendi even took us on a boat ride. Kristina cooked amazing meals with all products from their local garden. The house and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. The garden is large and taken care of with much effort. The view over the lake is simply stunning. It’s the perfect place to relax!

It took a little while to get used to not having a phone (internet) in this gorgeous nature. Also there is not much to do except Shala River

Very lovely and kind hosts - the views is incredible from this guesthouse! So remote and tranquil- the garden is beautiful and lots of tree houses and chairs to sit and relax at.

Just if you had a car the road down to the lake is quite off road- so you could walk down the track instead

The hosts were very friendly and we laughed about what would we do without Google translate as we had some conversations a bit about each others lives. The food was amazing, molto bene! The views were unbelievable! It was so quiet, the only sounds were birds, the odd cow mooing which echo'd across the gorge and cowbells. Also, getting there was an adventure and being taken across Komani Lake by boat to the Guesthouse was very different from the usual place you might stay in.

Best stay so far in Albania. Kristina was so welcoming. Her food was incredible and the property is peaceful and stunning. A great place to vege out and enjoy some downtime.

This is a remote location, and that's what made it so nice for us. We took the Koman ferry at 09.00 and it arrived at 11.20. Check in was 14.00 so we had to wait in the fantastic setting with views all around. When the owners arrived they were very pleasant indeed. We walked a few short trails, could borrow the boat and then enjoy the location, which is stunning. We took the boat back to Koman at 06.20. The boat trip is quite something. The pictures are from our room at 06.00 waiting for the sun and the boat, a view of the property from the boat, the boat we took.

We liked everything BUT if you like lots to do on the doorstep this may not be a good choice for you.

Excellent location on lake/river, very close to Fierze. Beautiful building and grounds, with possibility to hike up a bit higher for views. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Food was simple and tasty. Bed was very comfortable.

Host should provide a checklist for meals desired upon arrival (or soon after) of guests and slightly clearer communication about these meals. Shared bathroom may be an issue for some but not a problem for us. Loud music from neighbour was disturbing in such an otherwise peaceful setting.

Everything. Excellent communication, food, hospitality and the natural environment is amazing. Be mindful there is no wifi, which was a wonderful opportunity for me to switch off. Loved it here and would like to come back.

Lovely people. The family who owns this place is really nice and friendly and helpful. The location is breathtaking.

We came as guests and left as family. This guesthouse has given us the best memories from our north Albanian adventure. It's just peaceful.. the view is amazing, the house is lovely decorated and in the garden you find plenty of great seatings including selfbuild treehouses. Kristinas cooking is amazing and you'll find yourselve enjoying every bit of it. Staying with the family was heartwarming and full of finding lots ways to communicate - with the eyes, gestures and plenty of laughs. We loved it so much, that we came back at the end of our holiday and sadly still had to leave to go home ;) Besides the water being cold we went so many times into the it - just enjoying being in that exact place! If you like nature, peace, water and warm hearted people, we highly recommended it. Don't stay just one night, it's far more worth :)

The owner and his family were very friendly and welcoming. The guest house is just as described, the place is nice, and there is little area where you can go swim in the lake (water is very cold). The hostess cooked delicious home-cooked meals. We were happy to stay there 1 night and meet these people. It's just 10 10-minute drive from Fierze ferry stop (so for us was very convenient). There is not a lot of things to do - just to enjoy nature, so good for a short stay.

The road down to the lake (to the boat pick-up point) is quite rough - offroad, stones, downhill, narrow turns. Yes, it's possible to go through it, but if it was possible to avoid it we would avoid it. However, this is due to the isolation of the place; and many places along the lake can only be reached by boat. We were coming by car from Valbona, so we had to leave the cars on the other side of the lake.

The homemade food was amazing and the view was incredible. The hosts are very lovely people.

One of the most beautiful locations I have ever been. The location is amazing and only reachable by boat. The food is homemade and very fresh. It is hosted by a family and the give great tips on what to visit in the neighbourhood

In summer it gets very hot in Albania, we got some power shortages so it wasn't possible to use the fan all the time. This made it very hot to sleep.
