Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThought the pool was bigger by the pictures advertised. More like a kids pool so could not actually swim. However beach was close by so a bonus!

United KingdomWe have just returned from our second holiday at Lazy Daze and have had the most wonderful break. Marsha and all of the team looking after the villa provide a wonderful service and are incredibly helpful with anything we needed for our stay. We highly recommend this house for a relaxed and comfortable stay. Marsha and the team looked after us so well, and we will most certainly be booking a third visit in the future.

NetherlandsWhilst the villa is described as a home, it’s clearly used as a functional rental property with an abundance of signs in and outside the property which make the look and feel of the place rather ‘unhomely’. Still a great property but doesn’t need the amount of instructional signs everywhere you turn. Another note would be around the description of the location, whilst it says it’s located in Jolly Harbour it’s not technically within the estate and that should be made clear. Only a 7/8 minute walk to the Jolly Harbour estate and would make that clear in the description when booking. Unfortunately slight annoyance on both sides from the neighbours, one was constantly under construction and the other housed 6/7 dogs which would bark at the site of their own shadows. Most likely this was just a moment in time with our visit but worth noting for sure.
Outstanding host communication through the wonderful Marsha, gave recommendations on restaurants and supported with booking. Very clean property and well kept, kitchen facilities and bathroom all in good working order. Poolside decking lovely as well, allows for 8 people to comfortably relax and allows for alfresco dining, LOVED the hammock too :-)

United KingdomWe did experience some disruption from local building work during our stay. It was unfortunate timing and the team did everything they could to assist but obviously some things were outside of their control. You can get in touch with the Lazy Daze team before confirming the dates of your booking and they’ll give you an honest update on any scheduled / anticipated work in the local area. Overall, if you enjoy holidaying in the Caribbean, want to see the highlights of Antigua and prefer your own space then villa Lazy Daze is a great choice.
The villa is lovely, very well equipped and well loved. If you like the freedom of a villa but want other facilities nearby then Villa Lazy Daze is a fantastic choice. It’s really comfortable and we had everything we needed. It’s in a fantastic location, an easy 5 minute walk from a large supermarket and 6 really good bar / restaurants in Jolly Harbour. They can get busy especially at the weekends so make sure you book if you’re in a large party. A car would be useful if you stay at the villa and want to see a little more of the island – particularly spots like English Harbour and the “Green Corridor” . If driving is not your thing then the villa team are always on hand to arrange local transport. The local team are great and were super helpful and sorted anything we needed immediately.

United KingdomThere was nothing about the property that we did not like, however unfortunately the neighbours to one side had 3-4 dogs which appeared to roam freely in the garden and they would yap, bark and whine at any time of day if disturbed, particularly throughout the night and it would appear that the owners did very little to stop them.
The property was spacious and very well equipped, the owners appear to have thought about everything . The open plan living was perfect for socialising whilst preparing food. We were 3 couples so the 1 en-suite and 2 further bathrooms was perfect. The pool was beautiful and the furniture around the pool and beneath the veranda allowed for time in the sun and shade and outside dining. Jolly beach was about 15 minutes walk away, this may not suit everyone, particularly in heat and humidity, however the beach was well worth the walk. The sea was wonderful and we enjoyed early walks and sunset walks there, enjoying cocktails at Sandra’s bar. The supermarket was about an 8 minute walk away which was convenient. I have to mention the individuals who supported us during our visit. Marsha greeted us and ensured we were familiar with the villa, she also remained in regular contact via WhatsApp. She provided information about events, particularly the fact that it is possible to enjoy the steel pan music at Shirley Heights on a Thursday evening and not just on Sundays- it was not so busy and we enjoyed cocktails, bbq and steel pan and reggae without being too crowded. Marsha also helped us to get in touch with Rodney Baltimore who drove us to Shirley Heights and also Nelson’s historic dockyards and the airport . Rodney was vey knowledgeable about his island and provided a wonderful service www.adventuroushikes.com I must not forget Hollis, who provided maintenance at the property and even brought us additional water for the cooler when we ran out and resolves an issue with the wifi when there was an outage. He also provided us with useful information about our location. A beautiful island with even more beautiful people! All the locals said hello as you passed them.

United KingdomAntigua isn’t big on road signs so taxis aren’t always sure how to get to the villa. Turn off Valley Road by The Big Headed Lobster.
This wonderful villa really is as good as it looks in the photos! We had everything we needed for a wonderful family holiday, the villa is super comfortable, spacious, well appointed, and really a little bit special. The pool is just what we needed to cool down and play in. Lots of lovely touches from the hosts to make our stay as easy as possible. Villa Lazy Daze is located in a quiet part of Jolly Harbour, so you really feel like you have escaped from it all. There are restaurants a couple of minutes walk away and a big supermarket about 5 to 10 minutes walk away at Jolly Harbour Marina and the beautiful beach another 5 minutes away. Marcia met us at the villa with a huge smile and a big welcome and answered any questions we had immediately.
