Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe pool had some loose tiles which resulted in a cut to my toe, noticed this in several parts of the pool. The bar staff are a little slow but also understaffed. Buffet was only good for the first hour or 2 then things ran out, no biggy for us as we went earlier. We didn't manage to get any a la carte restaurants booked, not major issue as short trip but should be better system.
The room was good, no issues at all. The mini bar was well stocked in the room. Loved the huge shower. Pool was nice temperature and beach was great. Kids enjoyed the kids club. Drinks were ok too, just wish the coke/sprite was kept refrigerated so less ice would be needed. Allowed us to check in early and use the facilities, and also stay a little later due to late flight. We would 100% stay here again. Parking was good and convenient.

Antigua & BarbudaWhat we didn't like was the flies that was inside of the buffet dinning hall, it was annoying and they should implement something to capture the flies. Though it might be out of their control.
My family and I liked the variety of the restaurants that was located at the resort. Also loved that it had the kids pool.

United KingdomBuffet was poor for those that didn't eat meat. My daughter doesn't eat meat & options.were literally nothing. Very poor for a 5* resort. Room not cleaned up to standards. Carribbean food was not very tasty Overall I enjoyed my time, but having paid for a 5* resort, I was extremely disappointed by the lack of finer details. I definitely wouldn't recommend or would never go back
Some staff were very good & others not so. Our house keeping was very poor, which spoilt our stay somewhat.

United KingdomIt’s very ‘corporate’ could have been anywhere. The steak restaurant which you have to book had run out of most of their menu so we resorted to buffet! The beach is nice but right by the pool with constant loud activities. Some of the staff were lovely but there were a number who clearly weren’t happy to be working!
Nice large bedroom and bathroom. Good buffet selection.

United KingdomThe food was not good. They served me veg soup in the Caribbean restaurant, which was meant to be curried soup. They then served me it again for my main, when I ordered lentil curried roti. When I complained and told them that wasn’t a lentil roti , they took it away and put it in a wrap! The food in the buffet was ok, but it wasn’t hot. The rooms are nice but there is a bad mould problem, so they smell. It wasn’t terrible, but it isn’t a 5 star hotel.
The property is nice and the beach is really nice. Drinks are good and the coffee shop was really good.

United KingdomThe staff were efficient and polite but not welcoming and lack warmth, unlike the vibe team. No hot water on two mornings, again staff hid the issue. It was fixed by the evening. Although you paid a lot, felt second class citizen to the diamond class. The premium for a bay view isn't worth it.
The location was very good, the food in the restaurants was excellent just had to be on the ball to book a table.

United KingdomIn need of some refurbishment in some areas, especially around the pools. Generally, cleaning and waiting staff were friendly but some front of house were not very helpful or friendly. The pool bar ran out of a number of drinks on a daily basis. Gluten free food options were slightly limited.
Good location with good proximity to the airport. Good food selection but there were some service issues with the a la carte restaurants and guests were left waiting for tables and/or food on a number of occasions.

United KingdomThe F&B was very un-imaginative and pretty basic. Breakfast was Ok but he buffet was mostly quite low quality at dinner time. Also used the steak restaurant which was also disappointing. Need to consider F&B as part of the product and less as a cost centre.

United StatesThe building is having MANY MANY mechanical problems, electrical is a wreck, there is definitely a sewage issue. very often in morning and in certain areas the smell of sewage loomed in the air. each morning they were pumping out sewage with a truck, the smell was unbearable on the back of the resort on the balconies, some staff needs a wake up since they tend to be lazy and not happy with their job. the entertainment staff is not at par for a 4 or 5 star. While most of the restaurant staff was good some of the hostesses need some positive coaching. The restaurant app is a disaster, the only ones who can use it are the phone "techys" and the managers even the hostesses could not navigate its complexities. ALL of the bar staff was FANTASTIC This resort could be a 4 or 5 star BUT there is work to do.
great resort with many amenities, food great, great pools and beach, great drinks and the bar staff is excellent always ready to serve. The managers are really trying to bring the staff up to par but they have a big job ahead of them. The coffee bar staff was excellent many of the people met loved the coffee and they should be commended along with ALL the bar staff. Antigua is a beautiful island with TERRIBLE roads. Each day we would venture out with our rental car and visit a spot or two on the island it is a great place. There is a fun boat that circles the island its a must do that was reasonably priced. Ask for 'FRENCHY' he's the cheapest for the same tour.

United StatesThey tell you. You don’t need reservations for the restaurants and is not true. Because every restaurant you go they are rude and tell you that you need reservations. Not enough food at the buffet you need to get there early if you want to eat.

United KingdomBe aware that there is a fee of US$150 per night should you happen to lose your wrist band (which also acts as your key card for your room). This is within the small print of the admission document you sign but not highlighted. I feel this fee is extortionate for something that is unlikely to cost more than US$5-10. I did share my thoughts re: this with management.
The Royalton Antigua is what you would expect from an all-inclusive resort. The accommodation, restaurants and amenities are well maintained. There are a variety of pools for adults and kids as well as the beach front. The pool bar is a hit. The food is varied in the main buffet hall with something for everyone.

United KingdomFirst night room view was just trees “mountain view” so upgraded to swim up room. Pool needs cleaning more often in this and main pool. As part of upgrade should have received complimentary hydrotherapy in spa but when we tried to book told us it wasn’t working. Beach grill restaurant too many flies and used plastic forks. Not what you expect in 5* places.
Excellent buffet choice but staff weren’t attentive enough in buffet restaurant often stood together chatting rather than coming over for drinks service. Marcus and Charlene when we upgraded to diamond club were excellent
