How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Clean, easy to use and has necessities such as towels, blow drier, plates, air con, tv, WiFi, local restaurants, nearby pharmacy, 10 minutes from the airport, etc I also felt safe and secure as a female solo traveller Great location and the host are so attentive of my every need Booked me taxis at my request also Would absolutely recommend and stay again!

Everything was perfect.
It was a nice modern home with all amenities. Spacious and clean. Carl and Helen were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much to ask. They were friendly and made sure our stay was enjoyable and comfortable. Close to shops and approximately 10 minutes from the airport.

Only the fact that the first night there was a plumbing problem so I couldn’t have the apartment. But I was notified in advance, alternative accommodation was all arranged for me including a transfer. Plus I had the option to cancel the whole booking if I chose.
Large, clean airy apartment and wonderful owners who were very helpful. Close to grocery store and bus stop. I took the bus into St John’s and onto English Harbour. I walked to a beautiful nearby beach one of the days. And I loved the stray cats who chose to live there.

Shower was fine but took awhile for water to heat up. Bed was a little uncomfortable. But, all in all was a great stay would definitely come back

I really appreciated that the place looked exactly like the photos—no surprises! The host was very responsive and provided all the necessary information right at the time of booking, which made the whole process smooth. Everything was clean, cozy, and comfortable. It’s a great spot, especially if you have your own transportation!

What's there not to like.
As a host, he went out of his way to make sure that my stay was as comfortable as possible. He also dropped me off at the beach and collected me.

The hosts went above and beyond in helping me find alternative accommodation since they had a leak at the accommodation I was supposed to stay in. The accommodation was very similar on price and good quality with kitchenette and plush bathroom. They even met me at the airport and took me somewhere I could grab dinner, and the day of check out took me to the beach, and collected me to go back to the airport. Very kind and service oriented! I was impressed

It's not a dislike at all, but if you're booking, note that you'll probably want to have a car for the time you're there.
If I could give this place an 11, I would. I'm a remote worker, and needed a space that I could work from comfortably AND use as a home base for tourism. This apartment worked very well for that. The apartment has plenty of room and what you need to live normally. The real highlight is the hosts, who are extremely friendly and accommodating. The price was also very reasonable. If you're on the fence about whether or not to stay here, I recommend you decide to stay here.

Everyting nice 🥰
The host was a breath of fresh air, so welcoming and made us feel comfortable. Also very good communication about when we arrived, how to locate property and how to collect keys for entry. Would definitely recommend this place.

I didn’t book a rental car so it was extremely hard once I got there and had limited taxis numbers, so going out at night was hard unless you knew locals or had talked to a taxi in advance. Also we didn’t have the address to the property so we had to explain the directions to people most people understood though because theres a store near by that everyone is familiar with.
I liked the space, I liked that there weren’t so many rules and regulations. It was pretty nice and quiet the other guest were really friendly. This place has a full kitchen area which is awesome.

Nothing. I cried since I didn’t want to leave.
The property was perfect. Everything was very clean and modern, the bed was big and comfortable, the kitchen had an amazing fridge/freezer and the shower was great. The door lock was so handy too! There’s a washing and drying machine outside which was very useful! There was an hairdryer and ironing machine and an aircon so we could regulate the temperature. Towels, shampoo and body wash were provided too.

Such a gem of a place to stay during your vacation. The owner Carl is the kindest person you will meet on the entire island, he drove me around like he was an old friend. The place is absolutely gorgeous and spacious, and spotless clean. Highly recommended and thank you from my heart ❤️
