Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JamaicaEntertainment can include a DJ playing music for the 3 hours to get persons fully engaged while seeing Antigua's culture instead of a band or a musical performance every night. Property and Wi-Fi needs to be upgraded.
I like the pool bar and the restaurant beside it right at the beach the food was great. It was nice for the price paid. If you read the reviews, you know what to expect so poor Wi-Fi, room style needs updating and entertainment is only at nights from 7pm to 10pm. Based on all that what I expected was what I got.

United KingdomWhile I enjoyed my stay at Jolly Beach, there were a few areas that could be improved. The room felt dated, and I didn’t like that guests staying less than seven days had to pay extra for room cleaning. At breakfast, the variety of food was limited, and it would have been better to have more options, including keeping the pizza station open more often. It also seemed there were few choices for those who don’t eat pork or meat, especially at lunchtime. Overall, the hotel does meet a 3-star standard, but there is room for improvement.
I really enjoyed my stay at Jolly Beach, thanks to its fantastic location and the excellent service provided by the hotel staff. Being set right on a beautiful beach made the experience even more special.

Trinidad and TobagoThere's no 24-hour eatery, and you can't take food to your room, so make sure and get something to eat for dinner. Pizza factory restaurant only opens twice per week(Tuesday and Saturday) The spa needs some upgrading Booked an inclusive catamaran trip, but no alcohol is being served before snorkeling. That's like 3 hours before you can get an alcoholic beverage. This has nothing to do with the hotel.
Staff are friendly and welcoming. The rum punch is nice(welcome drink) A day at the beach(favorite drink) The food was tasty. Exotic pizzas at the pizza factory The pool was nice Beach is beautiful Property is very clean and maintained

DenmarkNo Wi-fi in the rooms and in general very poor internet connection in the public areas. The rooms need some updating for a 4 star hotel. Very small bathroom with very little space to place your toiletries. The room had a smell of mould and no matter how you tried, you wet clothes would stay wet for the entire stay. Have never experienced this any other places in the Caribbean. Most of the staff really nice - especially the singing lady at the Palms Restaurant. However I was not met with the kindest person at the tours desk.
The location of the hotel is absolutely beautiful and all out door areas are just great. As well are the restaurants, bars, fitness area (small but ok), games room, coffee bar and reception area. Food - buffet style - is nice and well prepared. Booked an Island Tour at the Service desk with Safari Tours - driver Randy - it was worth every penny. Had the greatest day in his company and saw every little corner of the beautiful Island of Antigua.

United KingdomThe property is situated on a beautiful stretch of beach but everything is looking rather tired! Desperately needs extensive refurbishment. Some units in the St. Vincent block on the ground level were having works done. I was in the St. Lucia block next door and my room was adequate, comfy bed, fluffy towels, and hot water in the shower and how much time is one going to spend in the room when on a beach type vacation. However, behind my room there were generators and pumps which were noisy and disturbed my sleep which was upsetting.
The staff were all very pleasant, dining was buffet style with a good selection to suit all palates. Not gourmet but very acceptable. The a la carte restaurant I didn’t experience but heard good reports. The beach? Is long, wide and lovely and calm water for swimming but not very well maintained. Not raked every morning and tufts of grass and weeds are beginning to take over.

Trinidad and TobagoJolly beach resort was good value...have little to complain about...some staff were really excellent while others were less desirable...more of advice to future visitors; bring a tumbler with you as there is no bottle water in your rooms but a central water cooler and the tumbler will save you on ice/keeping your drinks colder for longer...food was good especially the a la carte at the pizzeria but you have to book reservations in the morning to dine from 6:30pm onwards but it is worth it....wifi is not strong throughout the compound but good in the room...i would suggest getting a digicel sim card with data to ensure you have steady data ...there is a mini plaza close to the marina just off the compound (Amarrs tours-pleasant people) where you can get it as well as there is a decent sized supermarket and pharmacy where you can explore and get little items you may need... beach is great...pool is great 👍

United StatesTHE ENTERTAINMENT POLICY IS A JOKE, WHICH FORCED US TO BE UP TO 11:00 P,M ERY NIGHT LISTENING TO QUIT LOW-END AND OVERLY LOUD PERFORMERS. WE WANTED TO REST AFTER A DAY ON THE BEACH, BUT WERE FORCED TO LISTEN TO LOUD "MUSIC"EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. NOT AGAIN. WE CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS RESORT.
Entertainment was AWFUL. If you wanted a restful evening you were nonetheless forced to endure mediocire but VERY LOUD outdoor entertainment that could be heard in every room, often going to as late as 11:00 p.m. It was IMPOSSIBLE to get to sleep and earlier. The management seems unable to navigate between a restful holiday and loud, lousy night time "entertainment." We loved the beach and the staff was great, but we might nor return because of this ridiculous "entertainment" policy and we cannot recommend this resort.

United StatesNoise levels OK, sometimes a bit loud from a sound system near the beach, but only from late morning till about 4 PM. Gourmet speaker near the beach, The pool is not meant for swimming. It is quite large with gentle curves, but the water level is quite shallow in many of the areas and not really amenable to lap swimmers. The quality of the seawater is excellent, although the sea is a bit rougher than I remember during a prior trip to Antigua for five years ago. I think this is a worldwide trend, however. As per most of the Caribbean, you are on your own when it comes to safety.
Beautiful location with expensive views of the Caribbean. Tasteful landscaping, not overdone. Nice and quiet at night during the week we stayed.
