How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewI would rate it as exceptional because this is what I was personally looking for. The location is not close to everything, however, by car you can reach some beaches & restaurants and get what you need. The hosts were amazing, and Erika was so sweet; she helped me whenever I had a question. She also recommended the best places to go to and advised me where not to go. For me, this trip was more of a spiritual experience and not to go out every single day. I would highlighy recommend it if you don't mind being far from the attraction and the noise. You can get to the city center and beaches by car within 40min (the fancy mancy ones).

Verified reviewWe loved the spaciousness in this gorgeous apartment and as it is slightly off the main road was so quiet.
Nothing! A car is advisable though for ease of getting around.

Verified reviewOrietta and Danilo were excellent hosts and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay! Orietta met us to show us the accommodation and hand over the key, while Danilo gave us a tour around some of the sights of English Harbour on our first evening there. Pigeon Point Beach, Nelson's Dockyard and the shops and restaurants in town are all within easy walking distance. The fridge was kindly stocked with some essentials for the first night of our stay, the kitchen had all the utensils we needed and the apartment had plenty of space for us to relax and enjoy our time in Antigua. Looking out over the bay towards Montserrat on the horizon with our morning coffee, or watching the sun set over the hills in the evening, the balcony was where we spent most of our time - it really was the perfect place for us to switch off, relax, and enjoy a week in the Caribbean sun.

Verified reviewIt was a great location in Cobbs Cross, peaceful and quiet but close enough to walk to English Harbour and access the restaurants and bars there. The verandah was excellent with beautiful views of the harbour and the sounds of the tropical birds and tree frogs. Very clean and well equipped apartment, even with a cooler to take to the beach, which was useful. The bedroom was air conditioned which was great for sleeping. Danilo and Orietta were very welcoming and available for any questions. We would definitely stay there again when we return to Antigua!
Nothing!

Verified reviewThe hosts made my stay very enjoyable, the apartment was will equipped and clean. The thoughtful extras put in the fridge by the hosts made it very welcoming location to spend a relaxing holiday.
Its location is a little further away from the main centre of English bay eateries, bars and shopping. Although about 15-20mins walk it’s along a busy road and I would not recommended walking it at night. Recommend you have a car.

Verified reviewA real little home from home !! Attention to detail was exceptional. The balconies are so large and make a real difference as the views are outstanding !! Can easily walk to English harbour and to bakery near by no shortage of taxi drivers too .. I didn’t have a car and as a solo woman traveller felt safe here.
Excuse my vanity but I would have liked a full length mirror in the wardrobe !!!
Hi, just reading our information was enough to know that we are not on the beach

Verified reviewThis place is balsam for the mind & soul. Its a super clean well run boutique hotel very well accessible in the hills surrounded by gorgeous nature close to the beach. You will sleep and relax like nowhere else not to mention the competitive pricing (forget overpriced hotels right on the beach - not worth it).

Verified reviewWe didn't have the chance to meet Danilo and Orietta who were away, but Erika, hosting on their behalf, was great! She had some food and snacks ready, drinks and water in the fridge for us, there was a cooler we could take to the beach (we should have used it more than once) and a few other things one might need. Erika and Jerome were very accommodating, gave us a lot of suggestions for beaches and restaurants (not all are open during off-season). We didn't take advantage of the well equipped kitchen, we cooked eggs just once when we were lazy to go out, but for those who want to cook, everything is there. The whole place was tidy and clean. We were alone at the property, since this was the off season, but we enjoyed the peace and quiet. Next time I visit Antigua, that would be the first place to look for availability. Thank you Erika and Jerome!

Verified reviewThe beds were very comfortable. I love the area it was in. The porch was great with a beautiful view. The housekeeper was very responsive to questions before and during the stay. There were some fresh items left for us by the housekeeper also (water, eggs, bread, OJ, etc).
The mosquitos... which cannot be helped! The water is also not drinkable... which also cannot be helped. My only comment about the house would be for a better stocked kitchen (cutting board, utensils, etc).
Hello , thank you for the review , Sorry but maybe you not have open all the cupboard drawers , there are 2 cutting boards , and one box with all kind of ceramic knives , as well as many other tools. For the water Is government water , the local peoples drink but we not recommend It . For the mosquito Is normal in the Summer season , more humidity more mosquito , like in Italy.

Verified reviewThis property is amazing. The beautiful rooms, the amazing balcony and the view. It’s one of the best apartment’s I have ever stayed in. The owners are so kind and helpful offering to drive me to the beach making sure the fridge had essentials. They have thought of everything from fly screens on all windows, mosquito nets on the beds, books, games and the lovely sheets and towels. They even supply beach towels. I can’t wait to go back.

Verified reviewDanillo was in touch with us throughout, and was waiting for us, with the gates opened and keys in hand. It could not have been easier. The apartment was well equipped, parking was easy, and the fridge had been stocked for our first night, with some milk, rum, a couple of beers and a few things to eat - amazing for our first night. We were made to feel most welcome. Perfect hospitality. Location is 3 minutes from the harbour and all the restaurants.
There is very little not to like here - all we could have asked for is a pool - but then we would be paying much more - so be careful what you wish for!
