Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI had to get use to the cats because I’m afraid of them. And a little better lightening in the bathroom would make this resort sheer perfection.
Everything it was exceptional.

United StatesWe are not morning people, especially on vacation. Did not like that there wasn’t room service for any meal. They delivered morning coffee but no breakfast. Also, if you miss breakfast or lunch, your options are limited to two choices of panini sandwiches. We weren’t told, but if you want your mini fridge refilled, you have to ask. There is also minimal help at the front desk.
We enjoyed mostly everything. The food was delicious and there wasn’t a meal we had that we didn’t enjoy. We had a great view of the sea and could enjoy it from our private pool on the deck. The room was secluded and although the cottages were close, there was a lot of foliage that kept it private. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed drinks from all bartenders, especially D Rock.

United StatesThe menu did give variety but not as much as other much larger places with multiple restaurants, but it was still well worth it.
Lovely setting with two pools and a beach, fantastic view from our room’s balcony. I love the architecture, true to the island’s colonial heritage, not a cookie-cutter modern style that means you could be anywhere. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. There is one restaurant but the food is good, decent variety. The price is significantly lower than other all-inclusive on the island.

Our second stay at Cocobay was as amazing as the first. Beautiful location, great food, great facilities, but the best part of this place is the staff. They make you feel welcome from day one and really make every effort to look after you throughout your stay. Amazing place

United StatesSleeping in our cottage was a bit difficult at times due to frogs that began chirping loudly around 3–4 a.m. Additionally, all of the resort’s common areas are open to the elements, meaning there’s no air conditioning in the main dining area, café, or other shared spaces. This made some meals uncomfortable due to the heat and the presence of flies.
Cocobay Antigua is a truly unique resort with stunning views of the sea, beautiful pools, friendly staff, and excellent food. We stayed at Cocobay for three days in a Deluxe Cottage located on the edge of the property. Our cottage had a lovely view of the sea and was quiet and serene during the day. The resort features two pools: an infinity pool by the main dining area and the Sunset Pool, which is closer to the resort’s beach (Ffryes Beach). We preferred the infinity pool for its incredible view of the sea, mountains, and Valley Church Beach. Guests have direct access to Ffryes Beach, which offers calm, turquoise waters and a very tranquil vibe. We were able to snorkel there and spotted tons of yellowtail blue damselfish. Cocobay guests can also access Valley Church Beach either by kayak or via a 10-minute walk along a dirt road behind the resort. Valley Church Beach was even more beautiful than Ffryes Beach, although it occasionally had an odor due to nearby mangroves. The food at Cocobay was definitely a step above what you'd expect at a typical all-inclusive resort. Guests can order from a rotating menu of appetizers, entrées, and desserts for each meal.

United StatesThe only downside was the limited food options— we wished for a bit more time during the day to be able to snack. Also, the Wi-Fi was spotty or not working in some areas of the resort.
The views were absolutely breathtaking! The private cottages were peaceful and romantic, perfect for a couples’ getaway. The staff was warm, attentive, and always made us feel special. We loved the open-air dining, beach access, and the calm, adults-only atmosphere.

United StatesMore variety of local offerings. Hard to beat Cocos Resort on the food. I'd rate Cocobay as 8/10 but CoCos is 10/10 on the room and food. Cocobay is 10/10 on the grounds, pool, coffee shop.
Would have preferred more West Indian varieties like Cocos resort has.

ItalyWe had a wonderful stay at Cocobay Resort. The property is truly beautiful — it overlooks two stunning beaches, and the garden is lush and immaculately maintained. The rooms are simple yet charming and very comfortable, with one of the most comfortable mattresses I’ve ever slept on. A special thank you to Kem for the warm welcome and thoughtful care throughout our stay, and to Ives, who was incredibly helpful and supportive upon our arrival. Their kindness really made a difference. The food was a pleasant surprise: contrary to some of the reviews we had read, we found it well-prepared and enjoyable. As an Italian, I can say the meals were above expectations — especially breakfast, which was excellent. Hats off to the chef for the perfect scrambled eggs every morning! The location is ideal — central enough to explore the island easily, and with postcard-worthy views in every direction. Another thing we appreciated was the general atmosphere at the resort: it’s well frequented, with lovely, respectful guests, which added to the sense of peace and quality time. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, and the overall energy is relaxed and welcoming. One little note — and I say this with a smile — the Friday night “pizza” is something else entirely. But hey, I’m Italian… I might be a little picky on that front! 😄 All in all, a fantastic experience, and we would absolutely recommend Cocobay Resort for a peaceful, beautiful, and well-managed Antiguan escape.

United KingdomThere are a lot of mongooses around the property. We didn’t mind these (they are common across Antigua) as they’re cute and don’t bother you, but I did overhear a couple of guests who didn’t feel the same.
Beautiful, laid back hotel. Perfect beach, swimming pools and we had a swim up pool room which was perfect. The staff were all so professional and friendly and the food is great - different to a lot of all-inclusive hotels which just do buffets (although a buffet one night would have been nice?)

United StatesFood selection was limiting. LIghting and the numbering conventions for the cottages could have been better. If it were an older couple, they would have difficulty seeing as it wasn't the best lighted around the cottages. It's super bug-gy, so bring bug spray as we get super bit up by mosquitoes.
The resort was small, quiet, and very relaxing. Although the food portions were on the smaller side, the staff is very accommodating, sweet, and made the experience exceptional. It was our first time in Antigua and definitely want to go back due to the positive experience at the resort.

We had an amazing time! Very quiet, intimate and relaxing… At first when we arrived i was extremely unhappy with the room placement but they assured me of my concerns right away and placed us in a great room! The food was great but i did wish they gave more options and more authentic food at the restaurant.

The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcomed. The food was delicious throughout our stay, and the oceanfront view from our cottage was absolutely breathtaking — waking up to that view each morning was unforgettable. My wife and I had an amazing time and are already looking forward to returning. Highly recommend!

United KingdomIt was disappointing that steak and shrimps/prawns were a $42 supplement when we paid for all inclusive. Although the room was comfortable and generally clean it did in places appear a little tired but nothing that should put people off.
Hotel was located a 45-minute drive from the airport which was perfect. We stayed in a sea-view cottage room which was very clean and well kept, although we did see a couple of cockroaches but they were quickly dispatched. The bed was big and comfortable and the bathroom roomy with 2 showers and a single sink. Disappointingly, the fridge in the room wasn't stocked at all though it did come in handy to store things. The food was very good and we informed the hotel in advance that my wife has a particular food intolerance. The first couple of days were a bit hit and miss but once the chef was informed he just cooked her a meal every evening that she could eat. My thanks go out to Bryan the chef who in his words said 'leave it with me and I'll cook you something you can eat each night' (He was good to his word). The staff couldn't be more helpful and were very attentive. All in all I would recommend people staying at this hotel which is slightly cheaper than others on the island but it is located on the cliff edge so getting to most of the rooms requires walking up an incline.

United KingdomThe beds need to have ‘four posters’ so that the net curtains can be more easily opened & closed to prevent mosquitoes. The top of the four posts can be a fixed top not hung on a ring. The side nets can easily be closed & opened.
