United Arab EmiratesThe food was very average. I understand they are trying to cater to an international audience, but I wish they would put more effort into the food. We just felt like a lot of it was lacking flavour, and the options weren't very broad. This is after trying both the buffet and A La Carte options for lunch and dinner. The booking mentioned we would receive a pet bed, bowls, toys, etc., in our pet-friendly room, but that wasn't the case for us. The pet-friendly rooms also need a proper cleaning, as there were visible stains on the carpet. We did get a complaint from a neighbouring room that our dogs were barking and woke them up when we left for breakfast, which we admit is our fault, but I feel like certain provisions should be made for pet-friendly rooms (i.e. more soundproofing or allocating the room farther away from other guests). Dogs bark, just like babies cry, and it isn't always preventable.
We loved the complimentary offers we got for my mom's birthday. They gave us a complimentary cake and message and the option to add-on balloons and flowers, which made it extra special. The hotel itself is beautiful, and we especially loved the pool - it is huge and never feels like you are bumping into anyone. There are lots of activities that happen throughout the day to keep you busy. We loved the beach volleyball. I love that they are pet-friendly; our two dogs were very welcome, there is also a small dog park, and they are allowed to swim in the beach or sit with you on the terrace for dinner or drinks, which is great when the weather is nice.. The staff were all wonderful and made our stay lovely overall. Checking in and out was also a breeze. Maintenance was very responsive when we had a complaint about our A/C, and they were able to sort it out within 10 minutes of calling.

United Arab EmiratesThe only thing I didn't really like- after being at the hotel for just a few hours I had the reception call my room asking if everything was okay, then one hour later I had the room cleaning guy come knocking on my door (3 times, until I eventually answered) asking if I needed anything, even though this is amazing service and they were wanting to help, it was a bit of a disturbance because I came to relax and have some quiet time, instead I got calls and knocks on my door.
