How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A special thanks to Tara, who handled our check-in with such grace and made us feel completely at home. Our room was beautifully arranged with thoughtful touches and well-planned amenities that made our stay comfortable and relaxing. You can truly feel the care and attention that goes into creating this experience for guests. A heartfelt mention for Chef Kushan and his wonderful culinary team—their passion really shines through. Dinner at Villa Toscana and breakfast the next morning were nothing short of exceptional. The Head Chef at Villa Toscana and Chef Bala with their teams went above and beyond, putting their heart into every dish to ensure each meal was unforgettable. And those little extras—breakfast until 3 PM and a late check-out—were the perfect finishing touches to an already perfect stay. We left with such happy memories and would love to return soon!

Verified reviewMy stay at The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, Corniche was truly exceptional. The staff were incredibly professional, attentive, and always eager to provide outstanding service. Every detail, from luggage and clothing arrangements to the overall hospitality, was handled with perfection. The experience was 10/10, and I would definitely love to return again. Highly recommended for anyone seeking luxury, comfort, and world-class service.
However, I was very disappointed with a few points that I did not expect from a five-star property. First, access to spa facilities such as the jacuzzi and sauna was not included in the stay and required extra payment. This came as a shock to me, since in other luxury hotels these facilities are normally complimentary for guests. Second, my booking included breakfast, but I faced an unpleasant experience with one of the reception staff at the restaurant. At 10:00 AM, I was told I could not enter because breakfast time was over, yet just a minute earlier, I saw her allow another family to enter right in front of me. The inconsistency and unfair treatment were very disappointing, especially at a hotel of this caliber.

Verified reviewJust stayed at the St. Regis for two nights after having stayed nearly 10 times last year and just end of August 2025 was there for 8 nights. Unfortunately it’s shocking how a place can change from great to bad in three weeks!
The staff have memories like fish it seems. Other than a few people like Yubraj, Vincent, Milan, Johanson and the Pakistani gentleman at the Main Door rest were so poor they should not be in the hospitality business. They could not even remember anything about me being there just a few days back. Also someone who has been there so many times they could not even offer a minor upgrade of a standard room with a slightly better view. Definitely will take my business some place else.

As with any facility issues can happen but how you respond makes a difference. We had an issue during our stay and Bianca, the manager on duty was quick to make it up to us, and she more than made up for any inconveniences we faced. Thanks for making our stay memorable!

Verified reviewOverall, our stay at the St. Regis Abu Dhabi was great. The staff were incredibly friendly from check-in to check-out. Thanks to Tara and Leazi. The rooms were lovely and the luxurious bathroom was a highlight. We also really enjoyed the St. Regis Bar. It's a beautiful hotel, but a few small improvements would make the service perfect.
The service could be better, especially with private dining being slow. Another minor issue that I noticed in both my original room and the upgraded suite was that the shower diverter, the knob you pull to switch between the overhead shower and the handheld hose was stuck. It's a small detail, but it seems like something for maintenance to check on
