Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomWasn’t really happy how Moustapha in reception thought he’d be clever in letting us know that if we bought a breakfast package it will be 50aed for one person rather than 100aed. He didn’t realise that the JA screen was already promoting breakfast for 50aed. Also chn under 7 are free which he mentioned that I had to pay for . Not at all impressed with his customer service.

Prime location with easy access. The restaurant Aqua was fantastic, and the staff were incredible. Mr. Kumara was very kind. The concierge and valet services were also excellent. However, the check-in experience was not pleasant

United KingdomBecause it was August the pool area got very busy, the lifeguards do an amazing job and are very strict, sadly some of the guests are simply rude to the lifeguards just because they aren’t there early enough to reserve a sunbed. We witnessed some horrible children with even worse parents, felt really sorry for the lifeguards who were outstanding in trying to resolve issues. We wouldn’t stay again in August purely for the amount of kids in pool who weren’t controlled by parents. But the hotel itself is super and we’ll be back again.
Breakfast was well organised by staff seating you. The choice available was excellent. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. This was our second visit. It’s a great hotel in a super spot.

There were a lot of people for breakfast but the staff were amazing in helping you, and clearing tables, so organized and efficient . The location was perfect! QatarI wasn't able to get breakfast today but between 9am and 11am it is so busy. My mistake I should have been up early at the Ocean View.
Mr Hamish helped me to move to the Lake View hotel. His service was exceptional and actually the Lake View hotel was outstanding. I like it more! The staff were incredible Mr Alfie and Mr Patrick from Kenya! The Lake View is stunning and perfect for relaxtion. The Indian food was totally wonderful. I was treated so well. Thank you for making my stay amazing. I also enjoyed the Ocean View but the Lake View was the best!

United KingdomWhile my stay at JA Ocean View Hotel had some great moments, there were a few aspects that left me disappointed. Breakfast itself was delicious — the avocado toast and freshly made omelettes were standout dishes — but the wait to be seated was frustrating. On some mornings, we waited up to 10 minutes just to get a table, which isn’t what you expect from a hotel of this standard. Another issue was the limited number of sun loungers by the pool. For a hotel of this size, the availability just doesn’t match the number of guests. If you’re not down there before 9am, chances are you won’t get one. I also wasn’t happy with how our interaction with Moustapha at Reception was handled. Although he was polite, I found it quite sneaky that he mentioned breakfast is usually 100 AED but could offer it to us for 50 AED — especially when the front desk screen was clearly advertising breakfast for 50 AED. He also informed us that our 7-year-old would be charged, which made us decide not to go ahead at that moment. However, 15 minutes later we changed our mind and returned — this time we were served by Batma, who clarified that children aged 7 eat for free. Hats off to her — not only was she clear and professional, but she truly stood out as an amazing member of staff. Her warm and helpful attitude made all the difference. Overall, the hotel has potential, but a few operational tweaks and better communication would definitely improve the guest experience.
