Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

Great stay at this hotel. All the staff were amazing. So friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The lifeguards did a superb job and moved our umbrella as the sun moved! Also they were very diligent in regard to safety. Special thanks too to the staff in the restaurant and the chefs - breakfast and evening meals were delicious. And thanks to the reception and manager at the restaurant for organising a takeaway food package before we left. Coffee at the small cafe was excellent and again great staff. Room was large with plenty of storage space. Cleaned well each day and toiletries provided. Hotel is not too far from the airport and there are plenty of cafes/restaurants around should you wish to eat out. Also a supermarket nearby. If you want to be near the shopping malls this is possibly not for you. We have been to Dubai several times and stayed in different hotels on each occasion. But, if we return, we will definitely stay at The Grand Excelsior again . Best regards to all the staff! Sue & Ian, Australia

United KingdomThe bathtub needed replacing - could only have a shower as the bath tub was peeling. The music from the ground floor/ basement was too loud until 3am. The roof top pool area could offer a little more shade, and cold water to drink.
Amazing value for money. Very spacious room and generous sized beds in the family room that we had. Both children had a double bed to themselves. The staff were helpful and friendly.

United KingdomAccess area to the pool could be made safer with a handrail as it gets slippy when people walk down wet. Pool bar would benefit from drinks there as had to order and wait for them to be delivered from downstairs.
