Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalOur room last time was better. This one didn't have a wardrobe so we struggle to put our stuff away. The shower was good but it would flood the bathroom each time we used it. The breakfast room is small, so if you arrive a little late, it may mean you need to stand and wait for a table to become available.
This was our second time at Xalet Montana, and we love it. Breakfast is lush, rooms are comfy, and the staff is very nice.

United KingdomBasic amenities such as glasses/mugs, coffee machine/kettle or hotel robes in the room were not provided. Rooms were crammed, stuffy and hot. We had to open the windows but because we could hear traffic outside, we weren’t able to sleep well throughout our stay. We had to wait for a table during breakfast mainly due to the inefficient set up of tables - they were set up for groups of 4 so a full table would be taken even if it was just for 2 people.
Good location as it is a 3 min walk to the gondola and the hotel provides ski lockers at the gondola which was convenient.

SpainHaving to get up and look for a waiter for a drink every time we wanted another. No shower curtain or door in the shower so water was EVERYWHERE
Right next to the slopes so great location. Very cosy and warm. They had a small pool jacuzzi and sauna for 12 euros which was nice after skiing all day.the lobby had nice sofas though it was hard to find a waiter to get a drink they always disappeared. Lovely breakfast

United KingdomThe hotel is in an excellent location right on the main road and a very short walk to the main Soldeau lift but as a result it can be quite noisy if you open the windows at night.
The breakfast is exceptional. I would stay at this hotel again just for that! Fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastries, cakes fresh orange juice, hot items such as eggs, bacon or sausages, tortilla or cold buffet ham, cheese, smoked salmon etc. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is very clean, modern and cosy. It's 14 years and and over which makes it a relaxing place. There is a small spa area (10euros per person to use). It has a small pool, jacuzzi and sauna. It was empty when we used it, perhaps because you have to pay extra to use it (this seems to be the case in all the hotels with spas). We didn't have dinner in the hotel except for one night and it was simple but tasty. The room, although quite compact is comfortable with a good, modern walk in shower and comfortable bed. There is noise from the main road if you open the window but this is greatly reduced with the good double glazing. The room was very clean, there's not much room for big bags but you can use the space under the bed. I would highly recommend staying here.

United KingdomSome things that are worth noting for any prospective travellers: - the bathroom / toilet is separated by a sliding door which does not go into the wall but leaves a pretty large gap, so you will be heard and smelled by your companion in what is a pretty small room. no electric ventilator either. - the rooms face out to the mountains but as a result also onto the main road that runs through Soldeu. So light sleepers may be woken by cars, as the balcony doors although new are not really that soundproof - as stated on the website and on several signs around the property, food and drink is strictly forbidden in the rooms. I’ve stayed at many hotels all over Europe including Andorra and have never seen this before. Apparently it’s enforceable with a €150 fine. - worth noting also that the TVs are not smart so no Netflix etc, and they are very small All these things may not bother others, but at well over €200 a night it didn’t feel great value for money.
Pleasant stay. Very close to the slopes (3min walk to the main gondola station). The rooms seem recently refurbished and done to a nice standard. Rooms are small, but this was not a surprise. Breakfast was quite good, and the spa facilities are useful for a post-skiing soak. Staff were also helpful and attentive.

Hong KongThe staff were absolutely lovely. They made you feel very welcome. The breakfast is just right, plenty of choice and variety. The bonus with this hotel is they have a small spa - swimming pool , jacuzzi and sauna - great for post skiing relaxation. There is a small charge of €10 for this but well worth it. Also they have an arrangement with the ski storage place at the gondola so that you can leave your gear there. The hotel has an excellent restaurant and a cozy bar if you don't fancy going out.
