This was my 14th stay at KBV starting in 2005. It is the best location on all of Kaua`i, the best of all the Hawaiian islands. The destinations to the north and south/west are equidistant from KBV. Location . . . location . . . location!

Surrounded by tropical gardens and offering direct beach access, the Kauai Coast Resort at the Beach Boy features spacious condo-style accommodations along with on-site spa services and dining.

Check-in and parking was easy. The hotel is right at the beach and our 2nd floor apartment was the third away from the ocean but had a good sea view and one could hear the waves (as well as chicken, as Kauai is the Garden and Chicken Island of Hawaii - they are simply everywhere). The big pool area was very nice and well-maintained. The appartment was sufficiently equipped for preparing and eating food in the apartment. The airport is not far but beware of the rush hour on workdays - in the morning to Lihue and in the afternoon from Lihue. All attractions are easy to reach by car and/or a bit of hiking but depening on traffic, you better plan a day trip if you are going all north (Tunnels Beach, etc.) or south (especially Waimea Canyon). The shopping center next door is convenient and supermarkets are not far away.

Absolutely nothing to complain about. Yes, it was expensive but you could see the ocean - just! We had a great week and made friends with the local chickens!
