- From £64.84 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 163 reviewsSilence is very important to me. Therefore, to drive 30 minutes by car from the city(Durban), a small fee for my sleep. The owners have been hosting guests since 2003, i.e. they are very experienced. You can feel it in everything. I highly recommend it!Guest review byIgorRussia

This is a great peaceful location with beautiful established gardens, prolific bird life and of course the occasional visit from the areas troop of monkeys. The accommodation is well appointed with all the normal items right down to an iron and ironing board and not forgetting mosquito repellent. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely go back again! Thanks Michelle.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Drummond is a breathtaking nature valley.
Drummond is a breathtaking nature valley. The roads are not all great, but the views are stunning. The area is more expensive than other areas in KZN, hence you should plan your budget accordingly. The weather is lovely, though quite hot in the summer but cool nights are enjoyed. The food and adventures are amazing though and you get to see places and things that are not easy to come by. I would highly recommend a weekend to any traveller or local for this area and surroundings.Guest review byTanjaSouth Africa - 2.0

The accommodation is set overlooking the peaceful valley, wakening to the bird call was amazing. All our needs were met, with exceptional service from Marius and Santi throughout our stay. All amenities are nearby and easily accessible. After the hectic journey from London we were happy to relax within the peaceful surroundings. Will most certainly return on our next visit, and explore more of the area.Guest review byMarysiaMexico - 10.0
The Loft itself at Hunter's View is a serene environment,...
The Loft itself at Hunter's View is a serene environment, the accommodation is well priced considering that it has everything you would need; from basic kitchen utensils, to a few spices, even a microwave and a mini oven with stove. There's a fridge that cools items pretty fast. The bathroom has a basic toilet and shower facility and the bedroom area is a small Cosy space. Outside has a Lapa and braai facility with stunning views of the mountains which is what makes the place a true gem. Every experience depends on our own perception. The owner and staff were accommodating towards us. And there's nothing that we disliked. It's was a positive, tranquil and enjoyable experience for us.Guest review byKashvirSouth Africa - 8.0
Hillcrest is no longer the quiet village it once was.
Hillcrest is no longer the quiet village it once was. It is now a busy town with all modern amenities, malls, banks, hospitals, schools, etc. Fortunately for the B&B and lodge type of accommodation no major chain hotels have opened there yet. There is an abundance of excellent B&B and guesthouse accommodation and travelers are well catered for. Roads are being upgraded and major commercial and residential developments in the area will result in property values increasing. Hillcrest is near enough to Durban for travelers to enjoy the coastal attractions including the warm Indian Ocean, world class aquarium, beaches and major international sporting events and expos.Guest review byGeoffreySouth Africa - 10.0
I had a fabulous time at Nguni guest house.
I had a fabulous time at Nguni guest house. The hosts (Gina and her husband) were very welcoming and helpful. The guest house was beautiful and spacious, with nice furniture and comfortable beds. It felt like a home away from home. I enjoyed the stunning views of the mountains and the garden from the balcony. I am definitely going back there. As for the dogs, I was very scared of them at first, but they turned out to be so harmless. I even ended up chasing them when my frightened visitors came over.Guest review byMpumeSouth Africa - 10.0
It was definitely a home away from home experience.
It was definitely a home away from home experience. There was privacy and our own entrance and garden view. The host were amazing and very helpful. The view was absolutely beautiful and the cottage is so close to the mall and the Kranskloof Nature Reserve. The mall is about 7 mins away from the cottage so getting any supplies is quite easy. Definitely worth a stay.Guest review byCJSouth Africa - 10.0

Hillcrest is a suburb of Durban with an old English country feel. The restaurants are top drawer and the lush green surrounds are tranquil and very scenic. It is still close enough to visit other parts of Durban without too much hassle, whilst feeling like you are miles away from the hustle and bustle of the city haze.Guest review byLindaSouth Africa
