We stayed at Molokai Hotel and drove into town in the morning to pick up coffee and panini sandwiches from Hulu Bean. We also bought groceries at Misaki's and Friendly's grocery stores to take with us around the island on our travels.

Great Island to just hang out. Quiet, slow lifestyle.
Great Island to just hang out. Quiet, slow lifestyle. Looking for activities and entertainment, wrong Island! Looking for friendly and helpful folks, slow pace, and great outdoors (hikes and beaches) to explore, right place!

A wonderful non-touristy insight into the Hawaii Islands.
A wonderful non-touristy insight into the Hawaii Islands. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Enjoyed it very much. There are one or two big "resorts" on the island but at the far end so they don't seem to impact the experience of Kaunakakai.
The island vistas are amazing, the scuba diving on the reef was good. Interesting Island history to learn.
Just bring closed toes shoes if you want to do any hiking. We didn't think to due to the flight weight restrictions (and didn't want to check bags) and missed out on seeing some of the sites that you hike to.

Quiet town with a couple wonderful food options.
Quiet town with a couple wonderful food options. Molokai PIzza Cafe and Molokai Burger. Sadly, my favorite cafe closed in Kualapu'u likely due to the lock down preventing visitors from flying into the island Took an amazing drive to the east side of the island. Not many visitors at the moment made for a very nice drive without traffic.
