This is one of the most value for money hotels that we have stayed at. The location is just perfect close to Disney attractions and free shuttles are provided. There’s a market in case you need to purchase something. The whole day there is coffee and tea offered free of charge. Additionally, there is free breakfast and even a meal during the afternoon time. Cleanliness is on a high level and the staff is very friendly. The room is spacious with all the conveniences and amenities provided, whereas the beds are huge and very comfortable.

We were looking for a hotel close to the Disney parks (but not a Disney hotel itself). Homewood Suites in Flamingo Crossings is ideally located for trips to the Disney parks (we visited MK and AK). The hotel and the whole area are pretty new. The staff was really nice, the room was spacious & clean and all facilities were well-maintained (especially the pool was really nice after a long day in the park). Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Diverse Sunshine State of Disney

The Sunshine State – Florida – has so much going for it that we hardly know where to begin! From Key West all the way to Jacksonville and Pensacola, this diverse state has magnificent beaches attracting beautiful people and exotic wildlife.

At its tip are the incredible Everglades, largely accessible only by air boat. East, Miami is known for its Latin American vibe and the Art Deco buildings of glamorous Miami Beach. Fort Lauderdale is nicknamed ‘Venice of America', while Palm Beach hosts the annual SunFest music festival. Panama City is a favourite Florida spring break destination, and Tampa has popular party spot Ybor City and Busch Gardens, one of many Florida theme parks.

The most famous are of course Walt Disney World, Epcot, SeaWorld and Universal Studios Florida. Orlando and neighbours Kissimmee and Lake Buena Vista house a wealth of Florida hotels near Disney parks. South-west in Winter Haven is Cypress Gardens, while to the east is the Kennedy Space Centre, on an island by Cape Canaveral.

North is Daytona, best known for high-octane motorsports and a wonderful Atlantic beach.     I always love to visit Orlando and have been multiple times!! This particular visit was a bucket list vacation gift from my dad for our family. We visited Disney World & Universal Studios for a week. The new EPIC park at Universal Studios is a smaller park, but a definite & exciting must see. It was easy to get around Orlando, however, there are lots of toll roads and traffic peak times vary. The rainy weather can put a damper on certain outdoor activities and rides at the theme parks but there are always lots of indoor activities until the rain subsides. There's lots of local shopping, restaurants, souvenir shops and site seeing to do. Along International Drive, near the convention center, there are lots of places to visit like ICON Park for The Wheel, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, the SEA LIFE Aquarium, Topgolf, WonderWorks and Ripley's Believe It or Not! Cocoa Beach and other beaches are not too far off the beaten path. There's fun for every age. I will warn you to check with the visitor's center to ask when the European crowd will be in Orlando. Their school breaks are very different than our typical American summer and holiday breaks; and their presence can affect crowd sizes and wait times. It adheres to multiple vibes even the club scene to go dancing or the family- bike rentals are available enough restaurants on the strip and one of the Best Pizza shops in Broward not like Chicago or New York pizza but still good and large in serving.

    Mid-August: lots of families, and not really party town (like Daytona), so that was a nice surprise. Calm waters most of the time. Not a lot of shells though. Lots of fish and some other wildlife. Pier was beautifully clean (likely due to the fact that one has to pay to visit - it's cheap). McGuire's Irish Pub has the best Senate Soup. Fish and chips were okay (it's made with a catfish-like fish, not haddock, and is not beer battered). But the shepherd's pie and soup was amazing! Go deep sea fishing with Jubilee Fishing! Great crew and we caught lots of fish! Fun experience for everyone!

    It's a great city with lots to see. From The Sea Aquarium to The Hard Rock hotel and casino and of course Bush Gardens. The best retail therapy with Hyde Park and International Plaza. The traffic was crazy there. I thought Orlando was bad this city might be a little worse. You'd better be in the right lane for turning or you'll never get in.

    It is a bigger city than I realized and more spread out so I found that staying in northern Jacksonville was not the right area of the city for me and I ended up having to do a lot of driving. I think I prefer the southern Jacksonville, Nocatee, Jax beach or Ponte Vedra beach areas.

    Personally, I am very easy to please, and Kissimmee was exactly what my family needed. The attractions are conveniently located. Aquatica water park was only a 20-minute drive, and SeaWorld was just in between. The Old Town House is adorable and caters to all types of people. My family truly enjoyed every moment of our trip.

    This was our first trip to Destin.

    This was our first trip to Destin. The beaches are beautiful and not over crowded. There were many great places to eat, we enjoyed Parlor Donuts, Beignet and Brews, Lulus, and the Backporch. Also great shopping. We did a lot school clothes shopping while we were there. Both Destin Commons and Destin Outlets had great stores. We also went to the Gulfarium and our girls did the Penguin Encounter which was a lot of fun for them. Oveall, we had a great trip and are already planning our next to Destin.
