- From £296.02 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 12 reviewsGreat location for anyone who wants to be surrounded by nature - there were some monkeys living at the lodge and plenty of other wildlife to see around the reserve. The rooms were comfortable and the food was much better than expected. If you struggle dealing with insects and/or high heat and humidity this is probably not for you. Note there is limited internet access with some availability at a nearby animal rescue centre. For most people I would recommend a 2 or 3 night stay. I was ready to rejoin civilisation after the third night, mostly due to the heat and limited facilities.Guest review byJacobUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 27 reviewsFantastic lodge and research station deep in the reserve and the Amazon forest far from all visible signs of humanity, dense rainforest teeming with birds, animals, insects - it balances the discomfort of the steamy forest heat and biting insects perfectly with a little luxury when you are not out on excursions in the jungle - exactly what one would want from an Amazon experience.Guest review byHayleySouth Africa

A great city with a relaxed atmosphere, the people here are very friendly and helpful. Loads of options for eating and drinking at very cheap prices. Street food is definitely worth a try as are the tiny street corner bars for empanadas and a glass of some kind of juice. Try Flama Central on Av Cusco for great grilled meats. Hamburgo for a burger. Any of the bars for big bottles of Cusqena beer, pilsner, trigo, dorada or negra, they’re all great. Head to the ferry port and talk to the family running the bar there about a river trip with Edu, one of the sons who is a guide. After dusk you might get to see Owl monkeys a little further along the river bank. Again, ask Edu It’s easy to walk the grid system but you can always flag down a moto if you’re feeling weary. Head to the Cacao centre to eat or drink and you might see a family of tamarins passing through or an agouti.Guest review byBenUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Shintuyu Hot Springs has beautifully local engineered pool landscaped in natural environment, where I was able to watch monkeys eating in nearby trees, a humming bird extract nectar from bright red flowers next to the pool, beautiful butterflies of various colours flutter by. I visited waterfalls - one of which is the most impressive in my recent memory. Jhohan paid attention to my needs and is from the local area with lots of knowledge to share covering culture, plant and animal life, the water sources; river & hot springs.Guest review byAnonymousAustralia - 10.0

The staff is by far the greatest asset of Gree Diamond Lodge. They are exceptional. The beds could be improved. In my opinion the single best improvement they could make is finding a way to provide fans in the rooms, possibly powered by solar. The heat and humidity are quite overwhelming.Guest review byNancyUnited States
