Friendly locals and exceptional hospitality…The city maintains its original charm with beautiful beaches and mountains and many valleys to explore. Very clean city and great infrastructure. PERFECT EXPERIENCE ... will stay again First of all Mohamed property owner is the nicest person I have met, he picked me from airport and dropped me at the airport. from the time of booking he gets in touch with me on whatsapp. Property is 5 mins drive from airport best location possible. Room very clean, nice and tidy, had everything in it required for nice stay. I would recommend 100% this property and especially Mohamed. I will definitely stay again if I get chance. thanks. A very pleasant and friendly city. The list of my favorite places would be much too long. Getting around with Otaxi is very practical. The National Museum, Zubair Museum and the Sultan Qaboos Grand Masjid are a must visit. For a nice coffee or refreshing drink, I recommend the café at Al Mirani Fort, overlooking the Al Alam Palace and the sea. Take a walk on one of the beaches at sunset. In the evening, I particularly love a walk in the park surrounding the Opera House, enjoying the rich perfume of the jasmin trees. 1) All the staff were most helpfull, however the language barrier caused a minor hic-cup with the room service when ordering from the menu in my room. Staff took it upon themselves to ad-lib with food subsitutions from the set breakfast menu, without informing the customers. It was eventually sorted out. 2) The water pressure in the shower was very low, could do with improvement. 3) The swimming pool was not available for use untill May 2024. Other than those 3 issues the hotel represents value for money. I would stay again, but make sure the swimming pool was available for use.Guest review byBock - 10.0

Royal Opera House – a mix of art, architecture, and refinement. ⚠️ What to Keep in Mind: Limited Public Transport: Taxis or renting a car are often necessary to move around. Early Closures: Many shops and venues close early, especially on Fridays. Climate: Summers are extremely hot—plan sightseeing in early mornings or cooler months (October to April). 🧭 Final Thoughts Muscat is not a city of chaos or flashiness—it's a place for those who appreciate culture over consumerism, peace over pace, and depth over distraction. Seeb is far away (over 20 km) from city center. Nothing to see there. So not many tourists there. But it is developing. Quiet long beach but no infrastructure. You need car to get to the center!
