- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 209 reviewsMy sister and I absolutely loved our stay here and being on Waiheke Island. Kiwi House is in a brilliant location and I was blown away by how clean and tidy it was. The bathroom was immaculate! The receptionist very kindly let us check in early (although we would have been happy leaving our luggage at reception if that hadn’t have been an option). The place felt really safe and the kitchen was well equipped for heating up food (toaster and microwave provided). There is also a fridge and we were told we could help ourselves to the milk which was really kind. As a Brit, I was delighted there was also a selection of teas to help ourselves to! The bedroom itself was tidy and the beds comfy. Overall, loved it here and would 100% come back.Guest review byClarissaUnited Kingdom

Sitting out area with pears and lemons growing. Handy location for Ostend with good supermarket. Easy parking. Friendly hosts. Pool and hot tub available tho we stuck to the beaches. Stayed an extra night.Guest review byAlanJersey
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 239 reviewsThe owners are right in warning about the steep hill to get to the cottage, but you end up with the best view. Once at the top you have preferred use of a picnic table and a wooden bench. The unit was as described. Very comfortable and had all the amenities required. Loved our stay.Guest review byJacquesCanada

Even though it was very cold, the cottage was lovely and warm. Thank you to hosts for the bottle of champagne that was in fridge. It certainly went down well.Guest review byZeldaAustralia

Waiheke is amazing there are lovely beaches to visit and great wineries and tours, every one we meet was super helpful. the bus service is great you can even visit wineries by getting a bus! Great destination all year around, excellent walking trails or place to explore by foot as well. Nice restaurants in Oneroa and takeaways.Guest review byBradAustralia - 8.0

Probably not a popular destination compared to others on the island, suited us though. Good range of shops. The Woolworths supermarket was a bonus as far as buying groceries for the motel room. The RSA is a friendly destination, and provided takeaway meals for the weary traveller to take back to their motel. Some nice fashion shops worth a look too. A minor hassle was the amount of road noise heard in the motel room (probably sounded louder with the motel being situated uphill a short distance from the road). Not a problem at night.Guest review byPatriciaNew Zealand - 10.0
Sensational location on the cliff.
Sensational location on the cliff. Everything very clean and all necessary things sufficiently available. The beds are good, very nicely furnished. Thanks to the host for the helpful tips. We were there at the beginning of April and it was not hot. In real summer it can heat up a lot as there are many windows. There is a mobile cooling unit in the living room (with a hose to the outside when the window is open. In the bedrooms only fan. We would stay there again outside the hot season.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0

The villa had an amazing view but would suggest just booking a Waiheke Island Resort room direct, where you would pay less than half the nightly fee for similar villa and have FULL use of their facilities. These included a swimming pool, Spa pool and mini golf.Guest review byStephanieNew Zealand - 10.0

Very private location and the two Units are away from any other houses, etc. Very quiet and peaceful. Spotless too! Parking was 25 feet from the front door. Had a wonderful lunch at Mudbrick Winery and another at The Oyster Inn in Oneroa.Guest review byJenniferUnited States - 10.0

It’s a beautiful place, the views, pool, spa and bbq area are all stunning, such a lovely spot. It’s easy to get around Waiheke from here, by bus as well, we went to Ostend, Oneroa etc and had great food and walks. We enjoyed everything and it was very tidy and clean. The host Dan, was very accommodating and helpful with whatever we needed. Recommend!Guest review byLindaNew Zealand - 10.0

Amazing and 2nights just enough. Covered it by renting a scooter with Island Scoot. Great way to explore. Great breakfast at Frenchies, lunch at Two Three Seven in Onetangi, fabulous wine and vineyard at MudbrickGuest review byPatriciaUnited States - 10.0

Close to regular buses going to Onetangi and other direction to Oneroa and ferry. Ostend has seating’up town’, shade under sail with tables and grass under foot, big interesting Saturday market, large RSA,Woolworths supermarket, clothing shop and interesting boutique style gift shop, several more and a petrol station and eating out places. It’s pleasant walking around paths off road, the odd local has put a seating bench outside front gate for the public- beautiful views of sea.Easy short walk to The Causeway and moored old quaint boats. Our family group came for family wedding, stayed at Waiheke Motel in four studios, Ostend.Awesome.Guest review byGabrielNew Zealand - 8.0

You get exactly what is shown and described. Wake up with a great ocean view, great deck to relax on, neat simple room and perfect for 2 people. Man o War, Charlie Farlie, 372, and Cable Bay were excellent , The bus was a bit confusing at first but we worked it out and it became simple.Guest review byCraigerNew Zealand
