The location is incredible, just off the riverbed! Make sure to head for a short walk there at sunrise. Rooms are clean and cosy, bath and beds are comfy. In a place that is otherwise rather secluded and barren, you get everything you will need. They also provide a lovely, wholesome breakfast which is much required when exploring the area. The bar menu is plentiful too and well served.

Built in 1865 and restored in 1902, Otira Stagecoach Hotel is situated in the heart of the Arthur's Pass National Park. It offers antiques throughout as well as stagecoaches and horse wagons outside.

This is the most quirky and wonderful hotel we have ever stayed at. If you prefer hotels that sport new carpets, white walls, spotless furniture, and quietly submissive staff, don't visit the Otira Stagecoach Hotel. It is the exact opposite of all that. And we loved it.

very friendly host! location is near Arthur’s Pass, very clean and well maintained. Great amenities and has everything that we needed for our stay. Bathroom is big and clean, so is the common areas. It is so awesome to be able to just open a door, step out from the room, and lift your head to see stars right above!! There are mosquitoes outside, but the windows are fitted with insect mesh to keep them out. Will definitely recommend it!

Pete's Place really is the prettiest little house we have ever seen. The garden is beautiful and lovingly laid out; the interior is surprisingly modern and very tastefully furnished. We were all particularly impressed by the bathroom. The equipment was very good, we had all we needed. Everything is clean and in top condition. In our opinion, Pete's Place is the ideal accommodation for 2-3 people on site.

Location perfect. Superb communal kitchen, spacious and clean with everything you needed. Great big communal fridge and freezer - excellent! Bed was comfortable. I travelled alone and space in room was adequate. Showers were clean and plenty of hot water.
