Hanmer Springs is a lovely little township. The hot pools were a great experience with lots of pools available. MK restaurant was beautiful - the food and the experience was amazing. Really comfortable well appointed rooms. Great spot for a romantic weekend away. The hosts were great and knowledgeable about the area. The only problem we had was being able to hear the bar fridge at night as our room was closest to this area. Definitely ask for a room further away which we have had no problems with in the past. Hanmer Springs is a neat place which we have stayed at as a stopover on longer trips. Walked Conical Hill walkway. Have ridden bike trails before latest visit. Hot pools are exceptional...among, if not the best, in the country...great price for seniors with bonus AA discount. Shops are nice. Lovely scenery.
