The property consists of about 10 apartments above the rating. Some were two-story. We lived in a detached house with a large wooden veranda. There was a table and chairs on the veranda. The apartment consisted of a living room, a well-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. There was also a washing machine and a dryer.
The view from the veranda and the bedroom on the rating was amazing. From the veranda to the beach we had exactly 26 steps, and then 36 steps to the sea. Could it be better? Our house was separated from the beach by only a driveway and a few meters of grass. The sunrise seen from the veranda with a cup of coffee in your hand... priceless.
We stayed two nights in these perfectly located Apartments. The host was super nice, as he was very friendly to chat with as well as he helped us out extending one more night by juggeling bookings around just to make it work. Tank you again! Besides the awesome location right on the waterfront the apartments have everything you need to feel comfy and also to prepare your dinner in the good working kitchen.
This was the super amazing stay! We loved Ranui Lodge totally and the views from the rooms was just amazing! We had all we need, kitchen, bathroom, laundry service, parking and beautiful view and garden&patio. Michelle is the best host ever, she is so friendly and helpful. We felt like she is someone in our family. Thanks to her and her lovely lodge. Definitely will stay again if ever visit Mangonui!
Amazing location and views - at this price it can't be beaten. Obviously this is not a fancy 5-star place, but for the price I reckon it is absolutely fantastic value for money !
It is an excellent hotel the room was perfect overlooking the beach but the help-fullness of the staff was over and above the call of duty and was very much appreciated
Excellent large balcony overlooking the beach with easy access. Had all the facilities we needed. Some lovely shops, cafes and restaurants in nearby Mangonui.

Taipa has the lovely resort and beach, but there is not much else. However, Taipa is part of a gorgeous stretch of coastline including Cable Bay, Coopers beach and Mangonui. Within a few kilometers you have all the amenities you need, plus local attractions and shopping. There is the Famous Mangonui Fish shop over the water, a couple more lovely cafes, places to buy local art and craft, a walkway and pa, a picaresque harbour and opportunities to get out on the water. Go!

Mangonui is gorgeous - fabulous walkway, unique art & gift shops, great eating - Breakfast at Jesse's was huge & delicious.
It is also handy to all the East Coast beaches - the north is always a favourite trip down memory lane for us.

Great beach and good location to explore the far North area.
Great beach and good location to explore the far North area. We took a bus tour up to Cape Reinga which was a real highlight and explored nearby Cape Karikari in our car. We ate our dinners at Mangonui, a 5 minute drive from Coopers Beach

Facilities described on the website were all closed except the golf course. the pool was closed but even had it been open the description of "an infinity pool" was 100% wrong it was old and dirty with awful paintwork and there was no infinity aspect at all.

A cute lil fishing village with a lot of vibe. Newly built walkways around the coast, lots of wonderful restaurants - with takeaway options. The 4-square is very well supplied and people are friendly and relaxed. The ocean waves lap in here, nice wee spot with excellent scenery with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Lovely accommodation at really reasonable prices.

It's a lovely beachside area with relatively calm waters. Would be good to base yourself here for a few days to explore the surrounding area. Only about a 90minute drive to Cape Reinga.
November is still a little too cold in the water for a Queensland bloke to swim.

It was a super lovely location an hour from Kerikeri airport. We cooked one night and went to mangonui for dinner (about 10 min drive) the other night. We went to Carringtons one night too, but I definitely do NOT recommend doing that.
