- From £218.18 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 275 reviewsWe stayed at Hobatere Lodge during low season before going to Etosha and it was incredibly peaceful and calm. It is located close to the Galton gate of Etosha Park. The staff was so kind and always available. The reception/restaurant area is beautiful inside and outside. Dinner was amazing and prepared with a lot of attention (no buffet as in other lodges). Revenues will go directly to the community. You can do a tour (ca. 2h, offered 3x/day) in the close area and see lots of animals. Recommended for 1-2 nights before going to Etosha or if you have less time, doing a trip to Etosha while staying at Hobatere.Guest review byLeaSwitzerland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 207 reviewsWe particularly loved the beauty of the place, the comfort of the bedding, the attentiveness, and the warm welcome from the staff who go out of their way to ensure our comfort. Special mention to the chef, who takes the time and care to ask us how the meal is each evening, and especially to Vanessa, who was extremely kind and with whom we loved chatting. We will be back!Guest review byAlexiaFrance
- From £173.17 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 506 reviewsWe got a very warm welcome at Eldorado lodge. The staff is very friendly and really tries to give you the best stay possible. Definitely jump on the farm tour around the property to see some predators. Even though our stay itself was wonderful, the best thing about Eldorado is definitely the buffet style food!Guest review byAbspoelBelgium

We liked our spacious and nicely decorated room. Also, here we had the best dinners in whole Namibia. A quiet and beautiful place, we can recommend it.Guest review byAna CristinaGermany

We spent two nights here…it was the right amount of time to view animals in Etosha National Park. The terrain here (unlike Numatoni) is vast and flat. Animals are few and far between but with persistance and great binoculars we spotted a Black Rhinocerous, elephants, zebra, springbok, oryx, giraffe, ostriches, and 1 lion, all during daylight hours. The food is best OUTSIDE the park. There is NO fuel in the ENTIRE park! The “Trading Post” is the nearest fuel to this village (less than 10km). Fuel is CRITICAL for planning in rural Namibia!Guest review byCharlesGermany - 10.0

It has been our 7th time in Namibia and our 5th in the Namutoni area. As always it is amazing! Wildlife is stunning and this year the scenario with the pan filled by rainfalls was absolutely one of the best scenario you can imagine. This year we missed elephants (just a few) which usually crowded Klein Namutoni, but area around Namutoni was plenty of wildlife such as hundreds of giraffes, impalas, gnus, zebras, springboks. We have seen also cheetah (quite frequent in this area of the park), black rhino and, for the first time in Etosha, leopard with cub. Great place!Guest review byMarcoItaly - 8.0

If you're planning on going to Etosha, Omuthiya is a great spot to base yourself out of. It's about an hour from the northern most section of the park, which we found to be the best spot from which to see predators in particular. The town isn't particularly well lit or well represented on Google Maps, though, so I would advise getting there well before sunset to make sure that you find your accommodation. Residents are incredibly helpful and will assist with directions is needed.Guest review byErin VersfeldSouth Africa - 4.0
We were disappointed by the extremely bad roads in the park.
We were disappointed by the extremely bad roads in the park. There is no information about the rugged dirt roads in the park. We were happy to leave the park without an accident or car broken. No good for self drive! There were no animals at the waterhole in Okaukuejo...Guest review byJiřiCzech Republic - 8.0

As expected, the variety of predators was not observable but we saw many herds of antelopes, wildebest and zebras. A single giraffe standing in an area near Halila was beautiful. Watering holes were well marked and lovely settings to spend time viewing though some roads were deeply rutted. Sorry to have detour cut off several watering holes near Anderson Gate but understand its necessary for park maintenance.Guest review byLorraineCanada
