I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Gernika during my recent trip to Chefchaouen, and I couldn’t have been more delighted with the experience. From the moment I arrived, the hotel’s peaceful ambiance and stunning views of the Rif Mountains captured my attention. They were always happy to provide recommendations on local attractions and restaurants, making me feel like a part of the community. A lovely small cosy guesthouse with 4 rooms located in quiet area of old town next to the small river/waterfalls. Has lovely decor and amazing closed and open shared roof terraces with amazing views over Chefchaouan and mountains. A great place to sit and relax, and watch sunset. The room was small but lovely decor and great practicality. Nice roomy tiled bathroom. Had air con, warm air, hot water, big TV, great wifi. Great comfort for Chefchaouan. Check in was easy and the hosts very friendly. A great central location, 5 minute walk up to main coloured streets and 10 minutes walk to main medina square. Overall incredible value for money.

Everything was really good. We had a room with a balcony with an amazing view to the city.. Mohamed gave us a little tour of the city because we had some issues with kids surrounding our car and being aggressive because they thought we were taking pictures of them and also right at the parking lot we saw a motorcycle accident with people fighting and blood all over their faces. This was not the Dar fault and Mohamed was so great by reassuring us and guide us through the city center.

Everything! A beautiful family run Riad, Ahmed and his wife could not do enough for us. The roof terrace is stunning and the bedrooms were comfortable and clean. We were invited to eat with the family it was delicious, we felt very honoured. Hopefully we will go back.
