- From £84.75 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 2,142 reviewsPalais Medina and Spa is a top-notch hotel that is perfect for those who want to experience the beautiful city of Fez. The highlight of the hotel is the amazing terrace overlooking the beautiful medina of Fez, which is a great spot to relax with a cup of coffee while taking in the breathtaking views. The room is modern and clean with all the necessary amenities, including a bathtub in the toilet, which is a great touch. It is evident that the hotel management takes cleanliness seriously, and the rooms are immaculately cleaned every day. Another notable feature of the hotel is its proximity to a large shopping mall and McDonald's, which is perfect for those who want to explore the modern side of Fez. It is also convenient for those who want to grab a quick meal or do some shopping. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and they assisted us with arranging a taxi service to the CTM bus station of Fez, which saved us a lot of trouble. The staff was always available to answer our questions and ensured that we had a comfortable stay. In conclusion, Palais Medina and Spa is recommended for travellers looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in Fez. The beautiful terrace, modern rooms, proximity to shopping malls and great service from the staff make it a great choice for anyone visiting Fez.Guest review bycfoodielifeHong Kong
- From £194.33 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 347 reviewsI had a wonderful time at Hotel Menzeh Zalagh and I am very grateful for my stay there. Both of the rooms in which I stayed were spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The beds were super comfortable and the mini fridge was unbelievably convenient. Each room also had a balcony with a beautiful view - this was a really nice touch and allowed me to soak up the atmosphere and relax. The rooms also had a desk which I personally found really helpful to use when going through emails and doing my skincare. I also really enjoyed the food that I had in the hotel. The breakfast selection is varied with a mixture of hot and cold items. There are also pastries and a coffee machine. The hotel Pizzeria restaurant was my preferred go to for my evening meals and I would absolutely recommend the steak dish - it was so so so good and I wish I could have some right now! Finally, I have to give a special mention to the staff of this hotel who made me feel so welcomed and looked after. I met multiple staff members during my stay and all of them were so kind and helpful. It was reassuring to know that I had someone to call upon if I needed help. This is a really nice hotel and it is one that I would love to visit again whether on my own or with my family.Guest review byHumnaUnited Kingdom
- From £270.78 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 295 reviewsBeautifully restored and tastefully decorated riad in the medina. The staff is amazing, very friendly, professional and giving personal attention. The swimming pool area is beautiful. If you go to Fes in the summer, the swimming pool is a must. The rooms are spacious and decorated with the best local materials, the tiles are amazing. Breakfast has a great selection of local fresh products. We visited other riads in Fes for dinner or lunch but none approached the perfection of this place. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Fes and I already long to go back.Guest review byMugeNetherlands

Fabulous breakfast, full menu to select from the previous night, freshly squeezed juice & fantastic presentation. We had breakfast in the tranquil garden next to the pool. All staff extremely helpful, especially Zara’s & Nassima who were always on hand to sort out any issues. We had laundry done which we dropped off in the morning & it was returned that evening, all pressed & packaged. A wonderful stay, highly recommendGuest review byJacintaIreland

Loved the beautiful artisanal crafts and decor everywhere.
Loved the beautiful artisanal crafts and decor everywhere. Love this place for its connection to history. What I didn’t like was how the people living in the medina would lie about roads being closed, keep trying to befriend you in a fake way do they can lead you anywhere then fight about tips. I also really disliked the obscene tourist pricing in the markets. Artisans and shop kerpers mark up items 4, 5 or more times what the price of the item should be. A lot of deception and trickery when selling.Guest review byAnonymous - 4.0
Same as marrakesh but not as exhausting. Same tip culture!
Same as marrakesh but not as exhausting. Same tip culture! Really off putting for those who do not come from this tipping culture. Would skip Fes if I was doing the trip again… I would have stayed in Ifrane instead.Guest review byKathrynIreland - 8.0
Fez's market is huge and overwhelming.
Fez's market is huge and overwhelming. We had a guide and driver for our 1 day which was perfect. The only thing that was hard for me is that so much of the mid/late day with the guide was focused on the various crafts they make - leather, Berber rugs, cactus silk scarves (and even though the guide kept saying there was no obligation to buy anything, I kept feeling like I was getting pushed to buy - which as a minimalist is a pretty uncomfortable place for me). We had an amazing dinner at Ishq. The lamb shoulder will be in my top 5 lifetime memorable meals. Walking in the medina seems very difficult. We tried to walk to dinner (should have been 8 minutes), got lost, an old woman eventually led us out and found the general area of the restaurant and we tipped her/thanked her profusely as it felt like we were in a maze that we would never find our way out of. For what it's worth, I was reading The Sheltered Sky over the course of this trip.Guest review byremaUnited States
