The upper level of the Ottoman-style house retains it original decor and furnishings, including high painted ceilings. The guest rooms are downstairs, and accessible from the garden. Each is a vaulted stone cellar that used to house olive oil and provisions, and all have been uniquely and interestingly furnished. Our double room was beautifully lit and well laid out, with a large comfortable bed, and a small shower and bathroom ingeniously fitted into the corners. The thermostatically controlled heating register was also much appreciated, as it was a cold night in March when we stayed. Wifi was very weak, but this was not an issue (indeed, it was nice to be off-grid for a night). We enjoyed dinner in a restaurant a short walk away, and were pleased with the fresh fruit provided in our room (Stone Cellars does not offer breakfast). The location is nothing short of spectacular and the surrounding scenery is simply amazing. The rooms and entire hotel is designed and furnished exquisitely and we had a wonderful stay. Although it was cold outside - our rooms were cosy and warm. The bar and restaurant area is warm and classy with a beautiful fireplace and view across the nearby mountains. Petro the manager is one of the most friendly people and looked after us with great care. He went out of his way to ensure we had a wonderful stay and even went in his car to pick up some food from a nearby restaurant for us. One of the most beautiful parts of Lebanon - Al Arz nicely situated between Bcharre (with the Khalil Gibran museum), Qadisha Valley, the Cedars of God, and in winter there is skiing (although we went in the summertime). One of my favourite parts of Lebanon.Guest review byMatthewCanada - 10.0

Amazing place, with beautiful surroundings, restaurants and vibes, you must try Koko's bakery , Naji's lemonade and Patchi's ice cream, and ride Toktok to take you all over the place , and walk in the small streets which are full of coffee shops, restaurants and souvenir shops and for sure the old souq and the port .Guest review byMayada
