- From £62.90 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 998 reviewsThis place is run by one of the most hospitality friendly guy we ever met, his name is Wadu.....and he takes care of everything. You can ask him every question you have and he sort it out for you. The hotel is very clean and has a nice pool to cool of after a hot day. Also you can pay with several cards and need no piles of cash for you stay. The only minor thing is that the location is a bit far from the center but every evening they provide a free ride to the center and back to the hotel. We can stronly reconmend this place in Pakse.Guest review byCorneliaNetherlands

I enjoyed that everything was in walking distance.
I enjoyed that everything was in walking distance. The local people are very nice and helpful. The local food was delicious, and the environment was a relaxing atmosphere. If you get lost any local would help you with directions or even take you to your destination. Pakse had many Buddhist monuments that you can walk into and explore and take pictures. Wonderful little city would like to come again.Guest review bySisavat ChayanamUnited States - 6.0

I was in Champassak during the Wat Phou Festival which was great and interesting and then returned for one night after being in the 4000 Islands before heading north. The Temple are marvellous and would like to see it without all the tourists and festival goers but I enjoyed the festival particularly the opening and the Alms Ceremony for the monks. We went down the Wat Oum Tomo by a small private boat - a 2 hour trip each way around the island, but it was well worth it. Champassak is peaceful and encourages relaxation although I found bicycling in the rice paddies gave me insight into country life. My most vivid memory is sitting by the Mekong and watching the most beautiful sunrises I have ever seen over a river that was as still as glass.Guest review byJanineAustralia - 10.0
A still very authentic village on Mekong's largest island.
A still very authentic village on Mekong's largest island. There is nothing much to do, but this is the village's special charm. You sit in one of the lovely restaurants along the Mekong, you let your gaze wander over the river any you watch the fisherman. The pace in this village is very relaxed, people are very friendly and all you have to do is to relax as well. I highly recommend you to visit the morning market at the edge of the village. It is very special and you should come very early, at around 6 am.Guest review byChristianeGermany - 10.0
I loved the zipline over the Tad Fane Waterfall.
I loved the zipline over the Tad Fane Waterfall. It was definitely worth the money. The waterfalls are a bit far away from each other on the loop. The sunset from the Buddha on the hill or from the side of the Mekong river is just magical.Guest review byEmmaPoland - 6.0

The roads in Champasak are very bad with massive pot holes, I recommend to hire a 4wd. Pakse has lots of markets to look at and there are some beautiful waterfall to look at just 1-2 hours drive. The Mekong river is amazing to look at also. I highly recommend going to the Vat Phou.Guest review byHardisty - 8.0

This is a quieter location than the more popular southern islands of Don Det and Don Khone. What I loved here is the quiet, less garbage and less tourist jadedness of the locals which I experienced on my visit to the southern isles. One day I rented a scooter and rode around the whole island and really enjoyed it! If your aim is the waterfalls, kayaking, and lots of tourist facilities, this might not be the place for you. However, you can get down to the waterfalls from here by private boat which takes about 1.5 hours and a beautiful experience as well.Guest review byDawnUnited States - 10.0
