- From £187.21 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 157 reviewsThe staff: Peter, Gideon, Juma and Patrick at reception were courteous, fulfilled all our wishes and communicated very well with the relevant departments. We immediately felt at home. As I am vegan, it is a bit difficult for me here in Kenya to always choose something from the menu. The waiter Dena was very courteous, understanding, helpful and very knowledgeable. He went through the menu with me every day and always gave me very good advice so that the chef could cook it. Employees like him should be encouraged and appreciated more. Waiter Robert always gave us something to laugh about at the bar and the drinks were very good. No headaches the next day, he was a pleasure to work with. Many thanks to Sofia from the breakfast service, she always had a smile on her face and sweetened our day so we could start the day well. Margaret's pancakes are a must at Medina Palms, they are delicious. Mercy, our housekeeping queen. She wowed us every day with new room decorations Always very lovingly done now I can say I have always slept on cloud nine at Medina Palms. Thank you, Queen Mercy. An appeal to the management of Medina Palms staff to show more encouragement and appreciation the facilities and location are not worth 5 stars for me. The heart of Medina Palms is the staff. Thank you so much to All. Dr.Christine AGuest review byAliwaAustria

Malindi is currently regarded as the "dead town" but in my opinion, it's the perfect escape from all sorts of pollution- Instantly replaced by the facinating historical landmarks like hell's kitchen & Mambrui in totality, peace & serene, are just some of the healing that Malindi has to offer.Guest review byKevinKenya - 8.0

The apartment is very pretty and the terrace on the creek offers beautiful vieux. In the morning many monkeys come to say "hi" : it's very funny indeed. If you like to walk...it needs only 10 minutes to go in town. Close to the apartment there are 2 very nice restaurants on the sea, where it's possible to eat very good food.Guest review byBagnone - 8.0

It is not a place for a holiday, I was there to check on some of my Property but I was frustrated because I ended up staying for more Days than I had wanted. It is loud and congested.but if one has his own home is Ok but there are other nice places to enjoy and have fun It easy to get round Mtwapa, by Tax Tuk tuk and motor Bikes and public means of transport called Matatus.Guest review byRose - 8.0

Watamu is one of my favorite places to visit in North Coast.
Watamu is one of my favorite places to visit in North Coast. It is not overpowering like other towns in North Coast. The people are very friendly and hospitable. I particularly enjoyed the sunset views at Litchaus and Crab Shack. The cultural tour to Waka Waka Island and seeing dolphins. However, it can be pricier than other places. I recommend going with an open mind and a spirit of fun. To get the most from Watamu, do not rush. I recommend spacing out your travel and allowing yourself to soak it all in. There's definitely so much to see and learn from the local community.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
If you can cook in Malindi, please cook.
If you can cook in Malindi, please cook. Chefs are also too expensive but if you are up for it, great. The customer service in Malindi is questionable, some restaurants even packing sub food as your take away. Also, the locals especially tour guides try to rip you off compared to other coastal towns, its quite annoying. Make sure you have someone who knows their way around Malindi so that you can be linked up.Guest review byKARENKenya - 10.0
Kilifi is a perfect town for me.
Kilifi is a perfect town for me. It has a peaceful energy that makes it a preference for the more hectic atmospheres in Watamu or Malindi in the North or the Mombasa resorts to the South. You can explore the Indian Ocean from the Dhows and experience the inland waterways and the impressive mangrove forests via the Kilifi Creek. The Aroboko Sokoke Forest with it rich biodiversity is just a short drive from the town.Guest review byHywelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Its a nice town bustling with activity and its proximity to other amenities such as clubs, many nice restaurants, supermarkets, shops is very nice. Transport is easily available to other parts of the town, very friendly people, a variety of restaurants serving local dishes, barbeque chicken is a favourite and readily available every evening.Guest review byTandlyneKenya - 8.0
The people are quite friendly including cab divers.
The people are quite friendly including cab divers. The beaches are wonderful. Not too much interference from the beach boys. The area is relatively quiet in the evenings. Good for a person who has relaxation in mind. My favourite beach was Gecko resort. It is easy to get around Watamu with Tuk Tuk or cabs.Guest review bykaguru
