- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 90 reviewsIl Poggio is heavenly. The houses are beautifully scattered across the huge property, each with a space outside to enjoy the stunning nature. The owners are kind, friendly and so thoughtful. The four of us (we have 2 girls) loved spending days there without the need to leave elsewhere at all. We played basketball, bocce, tennis, used the swimming pool every single day. The highlight was the view from the window, all the vinyards & the sunsets. Our girls asked if we could live there forever. It was the most relaxing, soul-enriching holiday. The owners welcomed us with wine, coffee, pasta. What a nice touch that we did not have to look for food after arriving. The coffee moka meant so much to a big coffee drinker like me. We saw beautiful nearby Tuscan towns & found brilliant local restaurants nearby & also had a beautiful dinner at il Poggio one evening. Bruna, the kindest, friendliest local dog, made my daughters’ stay unforgettable. We are definitely coming back.Guest review byZUnited Kingdom
- From £249.60 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 858 reviewsThe hotel has an exceptionally beautiful location with a fantastic view of San Gimignano. The apartment in the pavilion was an upgrade and exceeded our expectations with its amenities and offered every comfort. The breakfast was not only delicious but also plentiful and left nothing to be desired. The entire staff from reception, restaurant up to the general manager were always supportive and extremely friendly. Also a nice surprise the hotel noticed my wife birthday und surprised her with a large bouquet of flowers and a bottle of sparkling wine. Overall a great experience, I can highly recommend this hotel. For sure we will come again.Guest review byCristianGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 375 reviewsHeaven on Earth. A place where time could stand still. Breathtaking nature, and such lovely, kind, and helpful staff and owners. The food was incredibly delicious! The breakfast selection was unbelievably large and unbelievably good. Dining at the restaurant in the evening is an absolute must – a flavor experience you won't forget. We had booked a suite (a separate cottage with a large private terrace), and it was 100% worth the money! Every little detail has been thought of at Podere Bellavista – truly every single one! We already want to go back… and we plan to do that someday defently!Guest review byKatiEstonia

We liked exploring the entire City and were fastinated with the old buildings. Only negative comment would be fact you need to pay for the use of the washroom. Most were dirty and lacked toilet seats.Guest review byDanielCanada - 10.0
I have been to Tuscany more times than I can count.
I have been to Tuscany more times than I can count. This is my first time stopping in and staying in Colle di Val d'Elsa. The location is very close to all the major sites in Tuscany. Volterra and San Gimignano are extremely closeby as well as Chianti. There is a charm to the old town area of Colle di Val d'Elsa, not a ton of tourists like the other sites in the area.Guest review byD. CaronanItaly - 8.0
The apartement was even nicer than pictures.
The apartement was even nicer than pictures. There was oil and a bit of vinegar as well as salt and pepper. It would have been nice to have a few more amenities. The pool looked really nice but we did not have time to take advantage of it. Check in was easy even though we arrived very late at night. Same for the check out.Guest review byPatriciaCanada - 10.0

Fantastic little town with tonnes of restaurants and cafes to choose from. The museum ticket is great value as it gets you into lots of the historic sights. We enjoyed the weaponry exhibit as you were allowed to hold and try on the different artefacts which was cool! We parked nearby and paid with card on exit (only line up at the ticket machine if you’re paying cash). The onsite wine shop (connected to the popular winery near by) was delicious too. Would definitely recommend this town for people to visit and dine at!Guest review byLyndalAustralia - 10.0

Cute little spot, we only stayed there for one evening on our way down to Val D'Orcia from Pisa Airport. The town itself is lovely, we came on a Thursday evening and wandered into the village for a pizza at Happy Days which was great and so tasty, the staff were also lovely. There was also some great karaoke going on at one of the bars which seemed to be locals and some tourists enjoying their evening. It was lovely! Definitely recommend visiting here, there seemed to be lots more lovely restaurants too.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Montesportoli was a great location in central Tuscany and has a good road network to reach the popular tourist destinations. There was a large Co-op in the town and plenty of good restaurants in the area. It is a quiet town and is not full of tourists. The views in the area are stunning. If you are looking for a relaxing break and want to do some touring around this is an ideal location.Guest review byJulieUnited Kingdom
