It had a lift which was nice for the bags and check-in. The room was lovely with a view of the church. Breakfast was great and started at 7:30 which was good for us. The room has a fridge and shampoo, great pillows and towels. We couldn’t fault anything.

From our room we just hat 10m to access the sea at the hotels sand beach. After swimming we relaxed in our private Hot Tab also facing the sea. Champagne and good mood welcome! The Hotel's restaurant on top of the small building serves good local food. Just a perfect place for couples and families to enjoy sunny Sicily!

Amazing staff. Fabrizio, Zaira and many others were super helpful at any demand. The owner/manager Giusi was always there helping out with hints and a constant eye for every detail. Breakfast is superb. I can defintely tell that the pictures at Booking.com do not demonstrate well enough how beautifully set is the property. The pool is huge and "resort-like" which is super-handy for the ferocious Sicilian summer heat, however it was never full of people. Just perfect. Spacious and clean rooms.

The breakfast was exceptional, offering a delightful range of homemade pastries and cakes every morning. Dinner at the hotel was also very enjoyable.     Amazing historical grand hotel! it is an honor to have stayed in the same hotel as Churchill or other great people. You just feel like you are in a movie!     Ortigia is where you need to stay and be Perfect for strolling through the streets, shopping, eating, drinking, soaking up the atmosphere and people watching There isn't a beach as such on Ortigia-mostly stone areas or areas with platforms. Best bet the beach club Zefiro Solurium. Which is next to the most beach like beach. And whilst it is miniscule, dipping in the sea is nice. And steps from the beach club Moon in Ortigia is a plant based restaurant and cocktail place. Amazing! In Siracusa itself a visit to the archaeological Park is a must. Very interesting

    Beautiful beach and cliffs around the town. Unfortunately not many restaurants and option to eat. The litters are on the beach and no one cares there. But the beach, water and the surrounding nature is just stunning. The place is easy to be reached by local train.

    Cassibile in itself is a pretty normal town.

    Cassibile in itself is a pretty normal town. There are all the amenities one would expect to find - pretty much within walking distance of the property we stayed in. There are some fabulous pizzerias which are worth trying out. The best thing about Cassibile is that it is within very short driving distances to Avola, Fonte Bianche, Noto, and Ortigia to name a few great locations.

    The area is about 20 minutes from the main city by car.

    The area is about 20 minutes from the main city by car. It is a quiet area with simple reasturants on an undeveloped sea inlet. There are farms and boat yards on the bay. The area does not have many tourists so if you’re wanting to getaway from city life this may suit you. I would say a car is necessary to explore this area. We ate at a small restaurant with outside area by the water. Great sunset followed by reflection of the city lights over the bay.

    Siracusa is a beautiful seaside town on the Mediterranean. It is full of history and the little lane ways come alive in the late afternoon where you can find a never ending selection of restaurants and bars.

    Great place both for the ancient remains, baroque, and the few Norman rests. The main drawback is the lack of information that should accompany all the beautiful monuments. For instance, there are no supports for the autonomous visit to the archeological park, just because the web site that should support it does not work. People in charge are kind, but provide info only on request and if you do not know what to ask you'll never know, for instance, how it is worth to visit the park, or that there are combo tickets for the park and the museum.

    I would recommend the area for a short trip for the beach. In truth, we didn't venture anywhere else other than the villa and the beach as we went there for a change away from the cities we were visiting, but there didn't seem to be a lot to do in the area besides that anyway. The beaches were good, not the best we've been to, but still good, and generally the facilities there were good too.
