- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 98 reviewsOur family had an unforgettable stay at this wonderful family-run hotel in the Italian Alps, near the Dolomites. This cozy and very eco-friendly place has been thoughtfully designed to let guests truly connect with nature. The hotel has a unique atmosphere and aesthetic: natural materials, eco-conscious design, and well-planned lighting create a sense of harmony and tranquility. Here, it’s easy to forget the hustle and bustle of the city and fully relax. We enjoyed the incredible views, fresh air, and rare peace that modern hotels often lack. Our time here will stay with us for a long time. If you’re looking for a retreat in nature with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, this hotel is the perfect choice. We highly recommend it and would gladly return again!”Guest review byJuliaCzech Republic
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 208 reviewsCan't speak highly enough of this property! Starting off, the property itself is just stunning and the amenities they have onsite are top notch (the view from within the outside pool is unbelievable). Monika and her team were so kind and welcoming, and provided tons of great recommendations and were just always available to help make our stay as best as possible! The room itself was sleek with such a comfy bed and amazing bathroom and private balcony. Breakfast in the mornings was just the best open buffet with such a wide variety of cold and warm options! We never took advantage of the dinner there, but their options always looked great. Could not recommend this property enough though to spend your time in Castelrotto and the surrounding area!Guest review byKyleUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 221 reviewsAmazing hotel where everything is great. Very relaxing atmosphere. Friendly and welcoming staff. Exquisite food, the chef is a genius! The hotel itself looks brand new with all facilities done to highest standards. Pool and spa areas are outstanding, good choice of saunas and jacuzzi to relax after hiking. Perfect location - you can easily hike any direction by foot (we stayed in the summer), plus there is a convenient bus stop within 10 min walking distance to nearby villages, with cable car access. At the same time you are away from the village crowds, so it is very tranquil. ~1900m altitude is a huge advantage - you don’t get heat stress during the summer.Guest review byAnastasiiaUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 185 reviewsDear Hotel Vigelhof, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your hotel! Your staff's attention to detail is remarkable, the cleanliness is impeccable, and the atmosphere is wonderfully cozy. The spa facilities and breakfasts were outstanding. The outdoor pool with its perfect temperature was simply amazing. Everything was literally wow. A note about location: while the hotel sits along a road and street-facing rooms might experience some traffic noise if you're sensitive to it, the majority of rooms face the inner courtyard and mountain view, providing complete peace and quiet.Guest review byNataliaRussia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 63 reviewsOur stay at Hotel Goldknopf was truly exceptional! While there are certainly more luxurious options out there, this has been one of the best hotels we’ve ever experienced. The location and the views from the hotel are simply incredible—nothing short of breathtaking. The beds were big and comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. What really made our stay memorable, though, was the staff. Everyone was super friendly and went out of their way to help make our visit enjoyable. We are definitely planning to come back next year!Guest review byJordNetherlands

Location was excellent as could walk into town in 5 mins.
Location was excellent as could walk into town in 5 mins. Location was super quiet, parking undercover in the garage. Everything needed for self catering, well equipped kitchen, very spacious bedroom and lounge dining, Host was Doris and was very responsive to a few questions. I will definitely stay again next time I am in the area. Breakfast not supplied as was ABNB format and was self catering. Will stay again and recommend to anyone. Supermarket was 5 mins walk into town, Plenty of cafes and restaurantsGuest review byMichael BakerAustralia - 10.0
I believe that Alpi di Siusi (seiser Alm) is an amazing...
I believe that Alpi di Siusi (seiser Alm) is an amazing place worth seeing. The Paula and Hans Steger round way is really scenic and gives off those cosy ghibli - heidi vibes. There was a lot to see, the roads are generally well managed and well marked. There definitely is some elevation, so come with decent hiking shoes and enough water/snacks to tackle it. There are enough benches along the entire round way to rest upon, and there are also a few Alms (refuges) where you can grab a drink or use the lavatories. The entire route offers scenic views upon some of the taller peaks surrounding the seiser Alm (like mount Schlern, or Seceda in the far distance) as well as beautiful flower covered meadows. At some places you can find lifts which take you up or down the meadows for a fee. We stayed in a small resort town called Kompatsch. You can get there by getting to Siusi at the foot of the mountain, leave your car at the parking garage next to the cable car station, and take a cable car up to Kompatsch. (the road to Kompatsch is closed from 9am to 5pm for the general trafic) There are mostly hotels, with a few sporty stores and restaurants as it mostly caters to the skiing scene in winter. (we were there in summer) The restaurants there generally close their kitchens at around 16:00, but you can still get a warm snack if your hotel does not provide a dinner. Also pay attention to the open/close time of the cable car stations, in the summer they operate from 8am until 6-7pm)Guest review byDianaSlovenia - 10.0

We found Vols to be a very small, scenic, quiet town. There are a few restaurants/shops and pretty town center with a church. It was easy to get to the surrounding areas to hike, etc so it was a good home base.Guest review byJenniferUnited States - 10.0
This region is super!
This region is super! It was our first time to visit so we were in awe of the views and the many options for recreation. We were there in July - considered off-season, so we had expected more stores and restaurants to be open that were not. We still had plenty to choose from, and only wished we had planned a longer stay to enjoy the region.Guest review byAmyUnited States - 10.0
The setting there is just perfect.
The setting there is just perfect. You’re in a valley and have access to several different hiking paths or mountain biking paths. The towns are your typical south to roll little towns. They was just beautiful, surrounded by the dolomites.Guest review byChristlUnited States - 8.0

Having to order food by 8 pm each evening was not very helpful especially if I had been out late in the afternoon. There were one or two restaurants open till later ( taking orders) but I did not know about them till too late. I didn’t find the restaurants particularly good in fact. But they were not as expensive as I expected either. The Eurospar store was amazing. It was very well stocked indeed and was very useful. My hotel in Castelrotto was excellent. To be able to use the buses free of charge was very welcome and the bus drivers were all very helpful too. Castelrotto is very well located for walks and trips to Seiser Alm and St Ulrich for the Secede cable cars. The scenery and walks up on the Alms were amazing. And everything was well organised and ran smoothly.Guest review byCatherineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Great location for hiking.
Great location for hiking. We took the bus over to Seis am Schlern. the buses are free with the tourist tickets. From there we got the cable car up to the Alpe de Suisi which is a beautiful alpine meadow, where it very safe to hike and there are lots of facilities for hikers of all abilities including families. We also hiked from Castelrotto over to Seis am Schlern which is another beautiful hike. Some of the nicest scenery I have ever seen.Guest review byCarolineIreland - 10.0
A small charming town with magnificent mountain views.
A small charming town with magnificent mountain views. Ortisei and the Val Gardena valley are just 20 minutes away, making it a very convenient place to stay. The prices are also pleasant, unlike in Ortisei itself.Guest review byDaryaSpain
