United StatesWe had an incredible stay at the Country Hotel. The rooms were great and so was the breakfast. We were really looking forward to eating dinner at their on-site restaurant, but unfortunately it was already closed for the season. Nevertheless, it was only a few minutes into Hofn where there were some great restaurants (our favorite was Pakkhus). The hotel has beautiful views of the mountains and you can see multiple glaciers from the breakfast room!

A little far from restaurants and shops, but tottaly worth it for the peace and quiet. They have breakfast and dinner available. There is a coffee station by the entrance but no one was changing and puting new coffee, so coffee was cold from the day before already. When you come to the room you feel there is something missing there, the room is so big and it only has a small table and 2 chairs. Big part of the wall is just empty. I think these rooms deserve a resting chair or a little sofa with a coffee table :) Nice and helpful staff at the reception. The staff was very kind and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfy. There is no kitchen but you can use the toaster in the dinning room area. We had dinner there, the lamb was very good, directly from their farm. Also it was good quality for the price we paid for the dinner compared to other restaurants. We enjoyed the cabin we stayed in. The bedding was very nice and the kitchen perfectly stocked with dishes. The playground was fun. The office sells some camping supplies. There are not enough showers, only one for each gender. The kitchen/cooking area is bare bones. There are some nice tables inside. The staff was very helpful and kind.Guest review byK - 10.0

We loved how cozy this house was. We were able to cook and enjoy the beautiful views from every side of this house. It was close to glacier lagoon and a couple of nice restaurants. The guesthouse gave a accurate description of the area so we knew what services were there and not there and could plan ahead. We loved walking around and the sights and hikes that were nearby. It was so easy to get to the Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach, and we could go back to see them at night too. Room okay for one night but unfortunately a little overpriced. The buffet style breakfast is very basic and offers little to none options for dietary needs. Hofn is great, quiet and cosy, but I believe that staying in the nearby villages is even more comfy. The town has a few great restaurants, a really wonderful little pool with hot tubs. Absolutely loved the variety of fresh, farm to table offerings, and homemade breads at breakfast. Dinner menu was extensive, meals were delicious. Enjoyed seeing the sea birds, and sheep in the pasture. Views of mountain and bay/ ocean were great. Very close to Glacier Bay and Diamond Beach. Peaceful. Staff were friendly.
