The location is simply perfect — within easy walking distance from the intercity bus drop-off point and all the main sites, including the majestic fort. One of my favorite moments was relaxing on the rooftop terrace, enjoying the stunning fort views at the sunset. Even though I visited during the offseason when temperatures were soaring, the room remained wonderfully cool thanks to the thick stone walls and a powerful AC. I absolutely fell in love with my room — the authentic Rajasthani layout and beautiful decorations made it feel so special. The bed was really comfortable and spacious. The window chambers were incredibly cozy, providing the perfect spot to relax and recharge after a full day of adventure. The staff truly made my stay unforgettable. I want to extend a heartfelt thanks to Milly, Sumar, and Yasin for taking such wonderful care of me. They ensured I experienced the real spirit of Jaisalmer, arranging a memorable trip to the desert and looking after me every step of the way to make sure I felt safe, comfortable, and happy. The staff arranged the stay at Jaisalmer along with the desert camp and they treated us really nice. Coming to the desert camp we made a lot of new friends met some interesting group of people and had a peaceful beautiful sunset a vibrant evening program with the camel ride. We danced and sang together after the traditional display all in all a night to remember. The room was neat Nothing too grand but catered to all our needs With an authentic dinner and after that a silent night under the stars was amazing. We forgot our airpods at the camp and remembered only after reaching the town the staff at the office arranged and procured it for us all the way from the camp 40 km away. Jaisalmer is well-known and rightly thought to be romantic.
Jaisalmer is well-known and rightly thought to be romantic. There are lots of tourists-- the entire entrance to the great fort is mobbed by tourists and tourist shops and hustlers. Despite that, the magic of this desert city survives. It is a gem, beautiful beyond imagining. I hope we can return someday. The opportunity for a desert adventure-- jeep through the rocky paths, camel ride, dinner cooked over an open fire, the silence of the desert at night-- was delightful. If you want to visit proper desert with Sandunes then Sam is the place. Gets a bit crowded during winter season but it's ideal climate to visit Jaisalmer. You can do Jeep Safari for sunset and sunrise. Same with camel safari. Desert bike and parasailing also available. If you are traveling in winter grab some warm clothes as it gets really cold in the mornings and evenings especially due to the winds. there are tons of camps and most of them offer cultural program.
