Upon arrival we were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco. The room was exceptional. Beautifully decorated with modern bathroom. Extremely comfortable bed. We had half board. The dinner was magnificent and the breakfast superb. Pity our stay was only for one night.

The hotel is very lovely. It's surrounded by nature so it's very peaceful. We spent just one night there, but we did enjoy the hotel bar for dinner and the sizes surprised us pleasantly and it all tasted very delicious. The breakfast buffet was very well served as well.

The service level is amazing - the staff is very caring and ensures we are very well installed. I got this positive surprise when I arrived late on a Sunday. Despite the restaurant was closed, in a few minutes I got a nice bowl of hot soup delivered to my room. And when I did my check in and was waiting for the taxi at 5 am, the reception offered me a fresh cup of coffee without me asking for it. They have exceeded all my expectations.

The house was very confortable and the hosts kind and helpful. We stayed there on a longer trip but we didn't visit Athy except for St Michael's Church in Barrowhouse (less than a km from the house). From there we went to the Wicklow Mountains and Glendalough in less than an hour, that's why we chose Athy for a night's sleep on our way. Our hosts made us wish to stay longer and get acquainted with them and their ponies, something our children would have gladly done.

Great town, but if you stay here, location not great, ok for an overnight stay, but costly to take taxi to and from the place and hats if they can find it, I had written the Eircode down for the taxi man, it still took two calls to find the place, a better location description would help, I lived in the area many years, if Newhall was mentioned in the description I would have known it was way too far from the town.It is a work in progress, but has a long way to go to before taking guest bookings. Naas town itself is great, enjoyed the shopping, and coffee stops
