- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 2,740 reviewsHonestly everything was really good. The staff were lovely when I checked in, I made a last minute change to the booking as we checked in and the staff were very friendly and accommodated me without any issues. The room was one of the nicest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in, the room was really big, with plenty of space for our many suitcases, the whole room was freshly renovated and the bed was huge and super comfortable. Although we were on the ground floor with a walking path running past our window, the room was really quite, we also had double fire doors between our bed and the corridor outside the hotel room door, we never heard a thing from anyone walking by either inside or outside the building. We slept so well, we nearly missed breakfast. The breakfast had a great choice of food and as it was buffet you could help yourself as you wished. It was really super tasty. My partner used the gym facilities and he thought they were very good. We did not have time to visit the pool area of the hotel though, so cannot comment on that facility.Guest review bySusieocSweden
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 2,083 reviewsThe Lake Hotel has its charm and nostalgia being situated in Killarney National Park overlooking Muckross Lake. The Lake Hotel was able to move our check-in date forward one day for a two nights stay without charge. We requested to be seated for breakfast by the window to admire the beautiful lake views. We had clothes laundry service with same day turnaround time. Live music entertainment was played in the bar lounge on both nights. On our day of arrival, our room was not ready as we checked in much earlier than scheduled time. We sat by the bar for drinks and were greeted by Niall Huggard, General Manager and Co-Proprietor of the Lake Hotel. How's that for hotel service?Guest review byKathleenCanada

A tranquil spot close to town and supermarkets. The hosts were exceptional and great communicating with us.Guest review byAprilleNew Zealand

Killarney is such a charming town and the surrounding areas are just beautiful. So much to see and enjoy. A little crowded this time I. August but we knew it would be more crowded this time. The Earls Court House was a wonderful place to stay. The property is unique and beautiful and the staff was so friendly. It was also just a short walk into town. Well worth the stay and I would recommend this property.Guest review byAllanUnited States - 10.0
Dingle is a lovely friendly small town with fantastic pubs...
Dingle is a lovely friendly small town with fantastic pubs to suit every taste. There are a few great restaurants especially if you like seafood. Doyles, Out Of The Blue (OOTB) and Solas were our favourites, but there are plenty more. Its a bit pricey, but the quality is excellent. I would highly recommend visiting Ventry beach or Inch beach which are both about a 20 minute drive away. The boat trips are good value and have trips to suit all abilities. I recommend the harbour tour for people that don't have great sea legs and the Dingle Sea Safari for the more adventurous. The last time we took that trip, we saw Dolphins, Porpoises, Minke whales and Humpback whales.Guest review byKevin O'BIreland - 10.0

Kenmare is a lively town with a variety of bars and eating options. In the summer months there is live music in most places. Locals are friendly and welcoming. Great for walking and a superb coastline.Guest review byMarthaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lots to do and see!
Lots to do and see! If thing I would suggest if it's raining or cloudy at all don't go to sea!! We went to the Skelligs. €295 for 5 of us, couldn't see much! Disappointing to say the least! The Skellig Museum on Valentia island across the bridge was surprisingly very good. It looks funny outside & we didn't rate it much! The back of it is what you see first! The take away on the pier was disappointing. Fish & chips wasn't what you'd think it would be beside the sea. The food in both local pubs fabulous. Best to book the Moorings for evening meals. It's very busy. Kerry cliffs well worth seeing also.Guest review bylindaIreland - 10.0

Being right on the ocean is nice.
Being right on the ocean is nice. Town itself is small and was pretty busy and touristy. But it was cute. Just driving through we could see a quite a few different food options. Love the beach area. Cliffs are awesome, ocean views great. Nice little town.Guest review bySusanUnited States - 10.0

We had a very comfortable stay in the Smugglers Inn. The hotel's breakfasts were delicious and the staff were very pleasant. We attended 10am Sunday Mass nearby in a beautiful Church. We drove along the N70 to Kenmare and the scenery was spectacular.Guest review byElizabeth
