The staff is amazing, they remember your name and treat you with kindness and love. The place is beautiful and very close to the harbour. It was very quiet compared to other places I’ve visited on Gili Air. Also very aesthetically pleasing. Would recommend this 10 out of 10.

Yes, it really is as good as all the reviews say! Sure, there are better hotels in the world, but it is without a doubt the best price / quality ratio that I have yet experienced. - excellent kitchen serving top quality all day dishes - tasty a la carte breakfast (fresh juice, barista coffee and a choice of "main") - reality as good as the images - more than enough sun loungers, cabanas, bean bags etc to serve all - much appreciated ceiling fans all over. Location is excellent! Right at the beach, with a private part with sunbeds. We didnt use the pool, although it looked quite clean and hidden from the boulevard. We couldnt have wished for a better reception than the one we had from Dhul Kifl. He gave us some welcoming drinks and refreshing towels while he checked us in. Rental bikes were also provided by him. We arrived earlier than the check-in time, however Dhul Kifl made sure our room was prepared as soon as possible so we could go to our room. Breakfast (however all food & drinks in general) is excellent. Should certainly try the fluffy pancakes and turkish eggs! Room was decent and clean with an outside rainshower. Abdulaziz suprised us with a nice selfmade turtle-towel. Staff is extremely friendly and are willing to help you with whatever you need. (Activities and general information about the islands)

What an amazing place! Everything was perfect and great value for money! The breakfast was great, very generous portions and a lot of variety, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were amazing and well maintained and the pool area is gorgeous and peaceful. It's 2min walking from the beach. If I ever go back to Gili Air I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice, clean, and modern (we were there in December 2024). Very quiet too, as this is a fair distance from the mosque (it never woke us up). Very friendly staff. Four good breakfast options. We had an amazing stay. Thanks a lot.. Note, for those who care, the shower is on salt water, but not a problem for us. Pachamama restaurant that is just across the road is also fantastic.

Indonesia's Laid-back Lombok

A great alternative to busy Bali is lazy Lombok, a more authentic representation for tourists who wish to explore one of Indonesia’s more than 17,000 islands. It is separated from its naughty neighbor by the Lombok Strait to the east and from Sumbawa by the Alas Strait to the west.

Lombok is a typical island paradise of paddy fields, pristine beaches, jungle escapes and mountain retreats. It is largely inhabited by the local Sasak people with a small percentage of Balinese settlers.

Many hotels on Booking.com are centred around the capital of Mataram and the beaches stretching along the north-eastern coastline, including the sweeping bays of Senggigi. Medana Bay is another great northern location for people wanting to visit the nearby Gili Islands, a wonderful snorkeling location and nightlife choice.

Escape the tropical heat in the mountains surrounding Gunung Rinjani, an active volcano where tourists can break in their newly acquired trekking shoes. Other adventures abound on the southern surf beaches of Lombok.

Lombok International Airport is located 33 km south-west from Mataram and services daily flights mainly from Jakarta and Bali. This round-shaped island is approximately 80 km in both directions and offers plenty of variety for a great holiday.

    Not probably,but for sure the best resort I have ever been too. Words and photos can't describe it enough. The rooms ,the overall resort, the pools , everything is amazing. Breakfast have everything for any type you will ever need. Bonus the excellent food in both of their restaurants (cliff is a must for dinner imo). Stuff is also always helpful and happy! Spa is really good ! And the most important beach is clean and beautiful! If you want to stay in Lombok 1000% recommended!

    Beautiful Hotel! It had some mixed reviews, so we went there to check it out and decided to stay there in less than a minute. Amaazing kindly staff, the pool is the perfect spot to chill out and watch the sunset! Lovely rooms. Was nice to feel luxury after some hostel travelling :) Room is nice and a good mattress. And the breakfast options. Wooooow! So many choices and it’s just delicious! So if you have a bit more budget treat yourself for a night or so. You won’t regret it!

    Just like others have mentioned the staff are very attentive .From the gardening crew , housekeeping that were excellent, pool cleaning and restaurant staff were always cheerful and friendly. I would like to thank Ken for always being friendly and welcoming without being overly intrusive. We had 9 nine nights at this resort and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.can’t recommend this place enough for a great getaway with a little bit of luxury as well.

    The resort is amazing. We stayed in a room with private pool and it gave us lots of privacy and a place to relax. The main pools (3 of them) are also quiet and offer a beautiful ocean view. The restaurants offer great food with even better service. All the staff are amazing. They seem to really enjoy their job and are always smiling and happy. Qunci villas also offers some great excursions for a fair price. Perfect relaxing destination.

    The villa is absolutely beautiful. The staff were incredible, so attentive, helpful and kind. The location of the Villa is a 15minute scooter out of Kuta which we found to be perfect.     A dusty beach town undergoing rapid development that has absolutely nothing to do with the local culture or architectural style. The beaches in the area are long, wild, surf-pounded beaches, as opposed to gentle, inviting beaches. Most were covered in litter and on some the sea was a soup of plastic. If you're into surfing and working out (and then strutting around showing off your abs and tattoos) and drinking matcha lattes, you might love it here. I found it pretentious, unfriendly and as a non-surfer, there was nothing much to do

    Stayed at tne katamaran hotel, stunning hotel with great food and provided a restful quiet break in stunning surroundings. Both restaurants on site provided great food. The spa was also gorgeous. The entire stay was heavenly! Alu at tne senggigi ferry port organised an amazing day snorkelling at three of the Gili islands. Paradise!

    The Gili Islands are truly a beautiful place, with crystal-clear waters. Especially Gili Meno, where you can escape the crowds of tourists and the noise of nightlife. But be careful — unfortunately, one of the biggest issues on the island is the litter left behind by tourists, which takes away some of the charm of these amazing islands. There are no cars here; people get around using electric scooters or small horse-drawn carriages. If you're looking for fun, head to Gili Air or Gili T. But if you want peace and quiet and to enjoy the sea, Gili Meno is the perfect choice.

    The local family who manage Green Haven Homestay are so...

    The local family who manage Green Haven Homestay are so welcoming and friendly. They will do almost anything to cater for travellers, for example I am 68 and wouldn’t have been able to do the 6 km walking tour up and down hills and uneven surfaces so they organised a motorbike tour which was great. The tour of the villages was also good and very interesting and informative to see the local market, pottery being made, textile weaving and bamboo weaving. There was a good variety of food and the family dinner was wonderful, so much delicious local food. The accommodation was suitable in a peaceful environment. I really enjoyed my stay.

    This is the most beautiful and scenic beach in the area! Great for beginner surfing lessons - for all ages (lots of kids as well!) Not so great for swimming due to the waves and abundance of surfers but one can certainly take a dip to cool off. Great walking beach where one can get away from the beach loungers, surfers and warungs for some solitude. Lots of great little warungs for cheap eats with a great laid-back vibe. The power of the crashing waves was absolutely mesmerizing and the sunsets were stunning!! Absolutely loved this beach. Lots of great restaurants nearby as well.

    Was exhausted after Mt.

    Was exhausted after Mt. Rinjani climb and this impacted on my exploration of the wider area, which I would've liked to have done more of. Also despite being officially the 'dry season', the weather was often overcast and rainy. I think had things been slightly different and I had had more time, the experience would have been better.. But still a lovely place that has less tourists than other parts of Indonesia.

    Sekotong is not overurn with tourists and all the associated businesses that come with that. Hence it's very quiet for the most. The down side of this is that you always need transport if you want to get to any other facilities or shops, whether that be a car and driver or a motor scooter. Sekotong is also close to the more south western Gilis, which makes for a very quiet visit for snorkelling etc. This is not a party town type of place - so if that's what you are seeking, better go to the more established areas.

    Gili T has lots of potential, but at the moment it feels a bit overcrowded and overexplored. Things are a bit dirty and messy outside the beach clubs. Access inside the land is poor. Boat access is a bit chaotic.
