Makares apartments is located just a couple of minute’s walk from Stavros beach and the Chora. We really enjoyed our stay in our room which was very nice and clean, with a good sized terrace and fantastic view to the sea and the sunset! Mr Loukas, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. Overall our stay at Makares exceeded our expectations and we will definitely book again whenever we visit Donousa! Highly recommend it!

This was the perfect stay in Donousa! In just 1–2 minutes you can walk into the heart of Chora, with all its charm, stavros beach, port, shops, and restaurants, yet the property itself feels peaceful and authentic. The home itself was fully equipped, very clean and spacious. Our host was very responsive, always smiley and happy to help. She made the experience even better—she warmly greeted us, and kindly offered a free transfer to the port when we checked out, which was such a thoughtful gesture. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

My room was close but separated from the main facilities and I loved it. Vasiliki and Lucas were always willing to make our staying comfortable. The owner has decorated the garden and the outdoor area with an artistic and cozy touch! He also offered me a drink while enjoying my first sunset from the garden! I would stay again :)
